The first bi-annual Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major, the ELeague Major, had users consume over 2.4 billion total minutes of competition, its organizers Turner Broadcasting and WME|IMG announced today.

The event, which concluded on Sunday, is the highest viewed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event in the history of the game's esports scene. The 2.4 billion total minutes consumed comes across four platforms: Twitch, TBS, YouTube Gaming, and the built-in GOTV portion of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game.

On Sunday, the Twitch channel for the event broke a site wide viewing record, being the first channel ever on Twitch to eclipse 1 million concurrent viewers. Prior to Sunday the channel was the number one viewed channel on Twitch for all seven days of the event.

In addition to the 1 million concurrents, the event claims to hit over 3.6 million viewers on TBS on Sunday, with 1.8 million of those never spectating previous ELeague events.
