Ahead of this weekend's action, Dove reveals his picks for Gameweek 18.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United, Premier League, 16 Dec. 17:00

Arsene Wenger finds himself under pressure again after a run of a defeat and two draws, but a win this weekend could take Arsenal as high as fourth...so it's not all doom and gloom.

I'm backing them to take all three points here, particularly considering Newcastle United's recent struggles, where a positive start to the campaign has been replaced by doom, drudgery and, perhaps most concerning, uncertainty about the future.

Dove's Prediction: Arsenal to win by two goals or more

Chelsea vs. Southampton, Premier League, 16 Dec. 17:00

Chelsea haven't kept a clean sheet in their last three fixtures, and while there were improvements in the 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town, Antonio Conte will not be happy with what he saw against Newcastle United or West Ham United.

However, they should have too much for Southampton, for whom one win in their last seven matches represents a grim return.

Dove's Prediction: Chelsea to win by two goals or more

Stoke City vs. West Ham United, Premier League, 16 Dec. 17:00

Stoke have had a few tricky times under Mark Hughes, and while they've always pulled through in the past, they're beginning to look vulnerable...particularly as Crystal Palace, West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion improve.

You wonder if Hughes will pull through this time, but a win here would go a lot way to boosting Stoke's league position and helping them move on from the disappointment of the defeat by Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

West Ham, by contrast, ought to be buoyed after a narrow defeat by Manchester City and by taking four points from matches with Chelsea and Arsenal.

Confidence is high, and I'm tipping the Hammers to get all three points here.

Dove's Prediction: West Ham to win by one goal

Watford vs. Huddersfield Town, Premier League, 16 Dec. 17:00

These two are both in pretty dreadful form at the moment; Huddersfield have lost five of their last six in the top flight, while Watford have taken just one point from their last four matches.

However, both remain in decent positions in the table, and will fancy their chances of ending their unhappy runs here.

Ultimately, this season, I think that the Terriers will do enough to stay up, and a point here would represent one step closer to safety.

Dove's Prediction: Draw

Sunderland vs. Fulham, Championship, 16 Dec. 17:00

Chris Coleman's arrival at Sunderland hasn't yet prompted the reversal in fortunes that the club's fans will have hoped for, even if the victory away at bottom-club Burton Albion was a brief fillip for the embattled North Easterners.

Coleman will surely be targeting a first home win, but the Cottagers have secured some impressive results on the road this term, and I expect them to take a point...at least...from the hapless Black Cats.

Dove's Prediction: Draw

Millwall vs. Middlesbrough, Championship, 16 Dec. 17:00

Millwall will be delighted to be sitting seven points above the drop zone as they head into the intense Christmas period, and will be keen to set the tone for the coming weeks with a win here.

Boro begin the weekend up in eighth, but recent away defeats against Leeds and Bristol City highlighted their troubles on the road.

Dove's Prediction: Millwall to win by one goal

Leeds United vs. Norwich City, Championship, 16 Dec. 17:00

Defeats against Brentford and Wolves saw Leeds lose pace with the teams in the playoffs last month, but they've responded with seven points from their last three matches.

I expect them to have too much for a Norwich side who have been one of the league's big disappointments this term.

A 3-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out should do wonders for their confidence, but expect it to be a false dawn

Dove's Prediction: Leeds to win by one goal

Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League, 16 Dec 19:30

This appears to be one of the biggest obstacles - ostensibly at least - between Manchester City and an invincible campaign, with Mauricio Pochettino's side looking like one of the few teams who could actually keep the league leaders at bay.

However, injuries to Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama have weakened a Spurs unit that was regularly impregnable last season.

With Harry Kane and Dele Alli looking out of sorts in recent fixtures, expect City to take another three points here...unless, of course, Son Heung-min can pull out another masterclass as he did last term!

Dove's Prediction: City to win by one goal

West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester United, Premier League, 16:15

The Albion are in a tough run at the moment, but despite being without a win in the league since mid-August, there have been signs of improvement against Alan Pardew.

A combination of the Baggies' improved defensive organisation - they held Liverpool to a goalless draw in midweek - and United's lack of attacking cohesion vs. Bournemouth suggests that this one might be tight.

However, I'm expecting United to just get over the line, with Jose Mourinho surely hoping that Romelu Lukaku's goal in midweek will prompt an upturn in fortunes for him.

Dove's Prediction: United to win by one goal

Bournemouth vs. Liverpool, Premier League, 18:30

The Reds have been on the wrong side of two disappointing results this week, having managed just draws against Everton and, in midweek, West Bromwich Albion.

Talk has turned from the Merseyside giants' firepower to Jurgen Klopp's questionable selection decisions, and he'll be desperate to bounce back with a win this weekend.

Despite some improvement last month, the Cherries haven't kept a clean sheet in their last four, and I can't see them resisting Liverpool's Fab Four.

Dove's Prediction: Liverpool to win by one goal
