For the first time, India went 1-0 up after the first Test of a series in Australia.
It always seems impossible until it's done!

What a solid victory. Congratulations, #TeamIndia. Huge shout out to @cheteshwar1 and @ajinkyarahane88 for the stellar knocks, and our bowlers for getting the job done! #INDvsAUS @BCCI pic.twitter.com/MJGYVqZXTA

What a way to start the series!#TeamIndia never released the pressure. Superb batting by @cheteshwar1 with crucial knocks in both innings, @ajinkyarahane88 in the 2nd innings and excellent contributions by our 4 bowlers. This has brought back memories of 2003. #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/4gmviaKeCC

It was the first Test win in Australia since 2008 for India...
Finally! A long wait but what a win. Truly sensational. Exciting moments all around. Congratulations and well played guys. @BCCI #AusvInd pic.twitter.com/28gZGBIorz

Australia put up a quite a fight on the final day in Adelaide.
Amazing grit displayed by the Australian lower order, but this is a moment to savour for a long time for Team India. The bowlers gave it everything and let's just enjoy this and carry the momentum into the Perth Test #AusvInd

Great fight from Australia's lower order today & it should be - this is test cricket. Terrific test match & congrats to @imVkohli & his men on a wonderful victory ! Bring on Perth

There were some nervous moments for India fans...
As a fan of test cricket, loved the drama of the last day. As an India fan, that last hour destroyed my heart rate
— Gaurav Kapur (@gauravkapur) December 10, 2018
... as the hosts strung together partnerships.
Australia's partnerships today: 31, 41, 31, 41, 31, 32. Lose by 31. #AusvInd

Some great fight from Australia, one significant partnership short of getting over the line! Congratulations to India, @cheteshwar1 the real difference. #AUDvIND

If only their top order had scored more runs...
Opener Aaron Finch (35 balls) has played the fewest balls in the Australian 2nd innings!#AusvInd#AusvsInd

Australia captain Tim Paine pointed out that Cheteshwar Pujara was the difference between the two sides in Adelaide.
India have had three away wins in 2018. Pujara scored a half century in the Johannesberg win, 72 at Trent Bridge and a total of 194 runs here at Adelaide. Clearly shows his immense value in away test wins, has been a standout performer #AusvInd

And there were the comparisons to India's most famous Test No. 3.
Great win by team India @BCCI. Bowlers have put their hands up and performed exceptionally. But one man made the difference in both the innings @cheteshwar1 just like Rahul bhai did years ago in the same ground #AUDvIND

Test Cricket is Best Cricket. Great fight by Australia in the end but India were too good. Winning after being 41-4 in first innings is a special effort. Outstanding Test match for Pujara and great effort from our bowlers. Promises to be a great series #AusvInd pic.twitter.com/PEYzKuBsap
