It was all about the Colin Munro and Alex Hales show for United tonight. That's it from us for now but we'll be back for more PSL action tomorrow. Thanks for your company. It's sayonara from me, Rvel Zahid
Islamabad United bag their second win of the season and have started the Karachi-leg with a domineering victory. Karachi Kings were no match for Islamabad United tonight. They started slowly with the bat, slipped in the middle overs and some late onslaught towards the death from Pollard and Irfan gave some respectability to their total. However, the response from Islamabad United's openers was sensational. Colin Munro has found his groove in PSL 9 and played all around the park with a scintillating 82-run knock while Alex Hales raced to 47 off 35. That opening 100-run stand broke the back of the chase as Karachi couldn't do anything about that irksome partnership and then Salman Ali Agha finished the job with a composed 25-run knock. Mir Hamza was expensive tonight and so was Hasan Ali. Tabraiz Shamsi was taken to the cleaners in his first over and only Mohammad Nawaz managed to stem the run-flow-- he bowled beautifully, returning 1/23 albeit in a losing cause
Jonny: "A Big Big Mistake from Shan by not continuing with spinners from both the end. Sometimes u dont have to utilise the full quota of your premium bowlers."
