Shadab Khan, Player of the Match: It wasn't a typical Rawalpindi pitch, was spongy early on and ball was swinging, but if you get momentum here, it's hard to stop. We didn't have a set total in mind but were approaching it over by over and were looking to get at-least one boundary in every over. The way ball was seaming around until the 11th-12th over, we knew we could create problems with our pace attack. (On 300th wicket) Feeling like I'm in rhythm, if you look at figures, they don't look good but I think they were good if you consider the match situation. Hunain is getting better day by day and hopefully he will represent Pakistan one day. You find a good 11 during the tournament. We tried a few combinations but it's working well now.

Saim and Babar form the spine of Peshawar's batting and once Islamabad got them out inside the powerplay, Peshawar's hopes went up in smoke as the game headed for an earlier finish as they were tottering at 3/3. However, Aamer Jamal showed gritty resistance and annihilated bowling attack in his 87-run enterprising knock. Paul Walter tried to keep them in the hunt but it was a matter of a few good overs that escalated the required rate to an exponential level, and then it became onerous in the end. Hunain Shah is growing in confidence voluminously and backed up his brother exceptionally in the middle overs. Earlier, Naseem Shah made the new ball talk and got the vital wicket of Saim Ayub. Shadab Khan erred on the shorter side earlier in his spell but came back strongly in the end and got the wickets of Walter, Jamal, and tailender Zeeshan towards the end. It will be a great morale-boosting win for Islamabad United, who have consolidated their position on the points table as things are falling into place for them just at the right time of the tournament. Earlier, Shadab played a fluent 80-run knock and the middle-order chipped in to push the score to 196, which proved enough if you factor in their potent pace attack that can outfox the best batters in the business. That's all from us tonight. Take care!
