Thanks for your company, it's always fun reading your comments and the discussion. We'll look forward to your company tomorrow on the last day of the Lahore-leg of the PSL 9. For now, it's goodbye and goodnight from Rvel Zahid

Babar Azam, Player of the Match: My mother came for the first time and she looks very happy. She always watches in the home but it was good luck for me that she came and I scored a hundred. This is my best hundred. Pitch was good but we suddenly lost wickets and I had to adjust my plans. I was looking for one big over because I knew Naseem (Shah) finished his overs so wanted to target other bowlers after the 14th. I think it was one of my best innings in front of this crowd. When Azam (Khan) got out, I was like let's take a chance and all credit to Aaqib -- he didn't panic and believed in himself and his bowling. Experience always gives you help; when you are under pressure, you can handle it. All the credit to management who gave him confidence. We've confidence, we were not up to the mark in first two matches but we'll now look to carry this momentum in Rawalpindi.

Phew, let me catch my breath. Lahore has developed a habit of producing one thriller after another. Let's have a glass of water and calm down after this hair-raising contest. Aarif Yaqoob hogged the limelight by picking four wickets in an over. He didn't err in his length and was calm as a monk in that tense situation and remained steadfast in his methods troubling batters with his biting leg breaks, wrong'uns, and flippers and unerringly kept it away from the hitting zones.

Earlier, Babar Azam struck the second century of the season and it was a complete knock; the acceleration at the death was refreshing to see as he was the architect behind the 201 total. In reply, Islamabad faltered early on but Colin Munro sprung back into form and played the anchor role with a 71-run knock while Azam Khan played the role of aggressor and smashed a 30-ball 75. But little did he know, Islamabad would make a meal of it after his wicket because as soon as he got out, the floodgates were opened and Arif Yaqoob ripped through the lower order, picking up a sensational fifer that put the game to bed.

Peshawar Zalmi are now at the third position with six points and Islamabad United suffered their third loss in a row, finding themselves stuck at the fifth position with only two points

taha: "Rvel, for anyone who missed the 2nd last over. was it the bowler's brilliance or the batters being more senseless that caused the chaos?" Bit of both, I'd say. Bowling was good, but they were swinging aimlessly and all hell broke loose. It was a batting collapse of gargantuan proportions

Aashique : "Zahid who is your POM mine is Arif yaqoob for sure" Yaqoob for me as well

A Khan: ""Cricket": we don't like it, we love it."

Malik Murad Ali: "What a big risk by Captain Babar for giving penultimate over to Arif Yaqoob. It paid off very well ...."

Salman Irshad to Naseem Shah, 1 run, Salman holds his nerve and bowls a terrific inswinging yorker right at the stumps, he can only get an inside-edge to square leg and Peshawar Zalmi have on by 8 runs, Azam Khan and Colin Munro will be hurting, they put their team in pole position and lost wickets after doing all the hard work.

Faraz: "Feels like this PSL season has more close contests than all other previous seasons combined."

Salman Irshad to Mills, 1 run, Hits a fuller-length and it kicks in at a tight off stump line, knocked down the ground to long-off and fielder gathers it calmly at long-off

Salman Irshad to Imad Wasim, OUT, Oh my, what drama. Pitched up and nibbles in at middle, punched in the air and taken by Babar again. No rhythm from Imad tonight, this was an opportunity for him to eke out a win but he perishes.

Salman Irshad to Naseem Shah, 1 run, Slung down full just outside off, lofts it over the bowler's head but it was bit half-hearted I'd say, didn't quite get all of it, Babar Azam hunts it down quickly at long-off

Salman Irshad to Naseem Shah, SIX, Flips it on a short length on middle, hook over square leg for six, another twist in the tale? That was way too short and he hit it many a mile. Can Naseem snatch a victory out of jaws of defeat?

Arif Yaqoob to Hunain Shah, OUT, What is going on! Hunain gets down on one knee and takes an almighty swing. The ball hangs in the air for a while but goes straight to Rovman Powell who catches it brilliantly in his big bucket hands. Suddenly there is pandemonium! Yaqoob continues to produce magic in a match-turning spell

Arif Yaqoob to Faheem Ashraf, OUT, This is madness from Islamabad! Trying an unconventional reverse sweep and playing a poor shot to point. Luke Wood took some steps to his left and pouches it comfortably. Yaqoob running all over the place in jubilation! More was expected from Faheem who has ample international cricket experience but it's poor shot selection and not judicious from Islamabad's stalwart. Meanwhile, Arif Yaqoob gets a fifer! Look at him go, elation conspicuous on his face

Arif Yaqoob to Haider Ali, OUT, TAKEN AT DEEP MIDWICKET! Zalmi on fire. Tosses up a delicious legbreak turning away from off, tries to whip it over the leg side and just didn't quite get it far enough. A major twist in the plot! Islamabad United collapsing like a house of cards. This is not sensible batting by any means, everybody has tried to swing frantically from the first ball

Arif Yaqoob to Munro, OUT, Crowd roars as Peshawar pick another! Another set batter departs in quick succession! Yaqoob bowls a beauty, slow, mystifying and a tempting legbreak that never really arrived at him; Munro tries to insolently smash him over long-on and gets beaten by the beautiful guile, spin and he makes a complete mess of it while prancing down the track. Haseebullah with sharp glovework removes the bails in a flash and Munro has to take the long walk back into the pavilion. It's proving to be another nail-biter!

Naveen-ul-Haq to Azam Khan, OUT, Gottim! Good length, slanting in at middle, Azam wafts and it's not through the line, Babar Azam at mid-off takes a brilliant catch under pressure. It's really a fabulous catch and Peshawar are right back in the contest. Azam Khan will be gutted with himself to not get the job done. He was suckered with the hard length delivery and lost his shape while trying to smash him downtown.

Naveen-ul-Haq to Azam Khan, SIX, Smeared towards midwicket, not entirely off the middle and once again like a pendulum, momentum shifts back in the favor of Islamabad United, yorkers were working well but he changes his plan and thumps in a short ball at middle, not much pace behind, he steps forward and clubs it over midwicket for a 74 meters six.
