1:03am And that's all we have today. We hope you enjoyed the season opener. Join us for the next game, Good night!

Shoaib Malik: I always try to bring the match as close as possible. There might be pressure on you but it's also on the other team. Give yourself the best chance at the end to express yourself and you also know the conditions better by then. Today's pitch had grass and we played with four pacers. We always knew the pitch would help our pacers. Peshawar batted well. 150 wasn't easy to chase but the way Sanga batted today, it was crucial.

Darren Sammy: I think were about 10 runs short. Credit must go to Hafeez for the way he played to get us to 150. I thought we had enough. But we gave away about 20 runs extra in the field.

Kumar Sangakkara: I think there was a bit in the wicket when we bowled so we needed to be patient in the chase. I have changed my stance and movement in order to give myself time in T20s where every second counts. Shoaib was just outstanding today. He's such a great player and he did the job for us. We have a good mixture of young talent and experience.

Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Match

If you are a football fan in thesubcontinent, head over here to watch the major drama at Arsenal LIVE. Ostersunds have scored twice to throw the tie wide open.

12:43am A win on debut for PSL's newest franchise. They set up nicely in the bowling department with a strong pace group, and Sangakkara's establishing act made sure the lower-middle order didn't have any work to do. Malik took his team home in the company of Pollard and in the end, it wasn't too much fuss for Multan to chase this down. The defending champions seemed to be drawn into a lull in the middle of their batting innings and despite the flourish at the end, couldn't put up a match-winning total.
