That's it from us today. Hope you all enjoyed our coverage. I am Srinidhi Ramanujam, signing off on behalf of S Sudarshanan and Sudeep Poojar. Stay hydrated and take care!

Harmanpreet Kaur: "We had given at least 20 runs extra. We bowled many loose balls and were not up to the mark. Obviously, in the batting department, nobody took responsibility. No, we are not weak against legspinners but they were really good. We need to focus on rotating the strike, we have done well in ODIs."

Nigar Sultana: "We thought we were short by 30 runs. It was the middle order and lower order runs that helped. We wanted to bowl them out inside 120. Our bowling was brilliant. Exceptional fielding too. We are proud. Our plan was to get early wickets. We just wanted to execute our plans. (On having variety in bowling) I am very much happy that we have every kind of bowler. Marufa is very talented, young and fresh, she makes my job easier. She doesn't think too much and just bowls according to plans."

Marufa Akter, the Player of the Match: "Firstly, our batters did well in these conditions. My target was to hit some good lengths, so I can do something useful for the team. Since I did well at the start with the new ball, the onus was on me to do finish well with the old ball. All the seniors in the team support me and love me, maybe that's why I did well today."

Sriram: "While Bangladesh should celebrate this historic WIN, India will have to go back to drawing board and rethink how they play the spinners on these pitches. Bangladwsh spinners have outbowled Indians in the last two games. Should India opt for another spinner in Minnu Mani next game? Have to wait and see the tactics.

Sampath adds that this was India's sixth ODI against Bangladesh in Bangladesh, having won all of the previous five games. Today's loss was also India's first in the ICC Women's Championship.

5.30pm: Historic win for Bangladesh as they beat India for the first time in ODIs. Chasing a low-scoring 154 on a slow, tricky, turning surface in Mirpur, India fall short by 40 runs in a rain-interrupted game. It was right-arm pacer Marufa Akther, who rattled Harmanpreet & Co with a four-wicket haul with Rabeya Khan picking up three wickets and Nahida Akter and Sultana Khatun accounting for a wicket apiece. For India, it was another middle-order collapse. From 91 for 5, they were bowled out for 113. Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur faced 40 balls each to somehow steady the innings but they couldn't last long. With the ball, Amanjot starred with four wickets on debut. Nigar Sultana top-scored for Bangladesh with 39.
