Rain curtailed the opening match of the tri-series Oliver McVeigh

No result Ireland vs Pakistan

A third match in the women's T20I tri-series ended in a no result after the final game between Ireland and Pakistan in Bready was abandoned at 3.15pm - 15 minutes before scheduled time for toss - due to heavy rain.

Australia, who won both their completed games, were declared winners in the six-game round-robin competition. They had beaten Ireland in both their matches while their games against Pakistan were washed out.

This was the last chance for both Pakistan and Australia to test out their combinations ahead of the Commonwealth Games starting in Birmingham later this week.

For her eight wickets in four innings, with a best of 3 for 8 against Pakistan in the opening encounter, Australia legspinner Alana King was named the Player of the Series. Captain Meg Lanning finished with the most runs in the series, scoring 113 in two outings with a best of 74.
