2.4 plumb in front, and umpire Llong raises his finger before the players broke out in appeal. Flat on off and middle, Matthews plays all around it, an across-the-line flick. But she misses and is struck right in front 18/1
12 slogged into the hands of midwicket. May have been a premeditated stroke but was a wrong one. Full outside off, Taylor comes down and smears the ball instead of timing it. Simple catch. 78/2
17.5 outside edge and taken. Another slower delivery outside off, keeps it inside the tramline this time, making Cooper reach for it and a thick outside edge is gratefully accepted. 125/4

17.2 bowled. A good choice after struggling in the heat for a while. Devine, though, outsmarted her with a slower ball on middle and leg, forcing her to make her own pace. Dottin tries a cheeky scoop but misses and the ball takes the leg stump 122/3
19.3 slower delivery on off, slogged straight into the hands of long-on. There for the big hit but King did not quite get enough on it. Quite close to the boundary still. 140/5

20 full outside off, driven towards cover. Campbelle comes back for a non-existent second and is run out comfortably. 143/5

7 leading edge! Taken at mid-off. West Indies are on a roll! For a player who has tried to be as orthodox as possible, this is a weird shot. Leans forward, and even when she is not to the pitch - credit to the bowler Fletcher for shortening her trajectory there - she plays with a closed face looking for runs against the turn. Credit to the captaincy too, Midwicket was wide open to tempt that shot. 49/3
2.1 seemed like that was all she had to do with her pace. Be accurate. Connell breaks into a jig, that's no longer surprising is it for the lads and ladies from the Caribbean. Hit a fine length, targeted the top of off and uproots it. Probably owes Priest a drink, considering the batsman went for a wild swing across the line and lessened her chances of connection. Or maybe not considering she sent her off with a kiss 11/1
6.2 and we have a direct hit, and it could well prove decisive! Devine's short of her ground! Just like this ball was short of a length. Seemed like a simple put away towards point, and it was. Devine went deep in her crease and placed it just wide of the fielder. But her mistake was that she did not run in a straight line. She was running down the legside of the pitch, and veered to her left all on her own. 43/2
16.3 and another good shot has been one-upped by Campbell! That's her second catch in two balls and its another superb one. McGlashan came down the track and lofts it over cover. Pretty decent connection, but the fielder runs in so quickly from the sweeper cover fence - she is a fast bowler and an athlete - takes it cleanly 108/5
16.2 oh, she'd made great connection, but all that does is make sure it carries all the way to the fielder at deep midwicket. Ironically, Satterthwaite has not timed a ball better than that all innings and it was there for the pick up shot. On a length, just outside off to allow the freeing of the arms. But that was an excellent take on the boundary too. Pressure catch 108/4

17.3 she needed to get it over point and it was a boundary. And she needed to hit it hard because it was Deandra Dottin there. Perkins can do neither. Hits a short and wide one straight to the best fielder on the park 116/6
19 she's turning this game all on her own. Removed both set batsman in the last over, and now she has Kasperek stumped. Knew the batsman would be harried for quick runs, knew they would be running down at her. Speared it flatter and wider, Aguilleira was waiting for it behind the stumps and completes the formalities 125/7
20 and they seal it with a wicket! Goes for a yorker, slammed down the ground, NZ look for a second run, but the long-off fielder picks the right end to throw 137/7
