Scorer: Binoy George | Commentator: Andrew Miller

6.05pm That's a wrap, but don't stray too far. The fun is just getting started. We'll have full coverage of South Africa versus New Zealand coming up shortly - an incredibly crucial game for two beaten big guns. The loser might be packing their bags long before the semis, to judge by the standings in Group 1. From Miller, Matt and Binoy, see you later!

Laura Delany: "Disappointed but fair play to England. Positives to take but we need big partnerships in the next game. Our top three batted with great intent, the next step is keep the momentum going and give the middle order a platform. Looking forward to playing Pakistan, was a competitive match in November. Brilliant to have family away from home, so noisy in the stand, great to have them supporting us."

Heather Knight: "Ireland came at us hard, the spinners brought it back and we've got three world-class options - offspin, legspin, left-arm. Alice broke the back of the chase, we made it hard but it's two points. In T20 cricket, it's a bit of a mantra, take the game on, we've got the depth to go hard and get ahead of the game. India is going to be a great game, and a slightly different venue, head over to Port Elizabeth tomorrow, have a couple of days off, and reassess." She means GQ obvs... but doubtless can't pronounce it (let alone spell it) so we'll forgive her

The Player of the Match is Alice Capsey. "Loving it, to play for England in a World Cup is the dream, isn't it? Put pressure on the bowlers at every opportunity, no complaints on my part, fits into my game and I'm loving it. We're high on confidence, India next will be a great game. SA wickets are a little different, staying low and holding, had to change my game a little but sticking to my mentality."

And to think she had a broken collarbone back in December... remarkable innings

5.50pm Well, that was an odd match. Both teams so composed in the powerplay, both teams lost their heads somewhat thereafter. But ultimately the skill of England's spinners, and the oozing talent of Alice Capsey's 21-ball fifty proved more than enough for a very comfortable chase. England will be concerned by that late stumble, however. Better teams will have taken note of that.

John Glover: "England should have wrapped this up ages ago. A long hard look in the mirror needed to have any chance of beating India and/or Australia. " Well quite

Akshit: "This game is giving Indian fans some hope of beating England to avoid Aussies in the semifinal, which was not very high after India's fielding performance against Pakistan." Indeed, that is shaping up as a monster match-up now

Kelly to K Sciver-Brunt, FOUR, filleted through the covers! KSB seals the deal as England stride to the top of the group.

John: "Wouldn't say they are making a mess of it. Won't care about wickets, just so long as they get the runs quickly" I didn't say that, I said it was a good impression of a mess. Which it is

It's not the statement win they'd envisaged... but it's surely still a win, right?

Murray to Jones, OUT, holes out in the covers! This is pretty chaotic from England, they've collectively lost their shape in this chase, with Jones the latest to over-hit a well-flighted delivery, and slice the leading edge high to the edge of the ring...

Murray to Jones, FOUR, a stride to the pitch and boshed over the top! That's more like it, makes room to free the arms and times it well

Murray to K Sciver-Brunt, 1 run, frantic run-out scenes! I think Jones is safe, but she was running through treacle. Yep, the keeper got the ball in good time but had too much ground to make up as the shy came in from cover
