10.00 pm That's that, then. St Lucia Stars finished their campaign at home without a win. The final loss at home came because simply lost the plot with the ball as the game progressed. They executed their plans poorly, and Jamaica Tallawahs took complete advantage of that. The Tallawahs bowled poorly, but their batsmen, led by Andre McCarthy, more than made up for it. They register their third win in four games as the tournament gets tighter with every passing game. That's all from us tonight, we hope you enjoyed ESPNcricinfo's coverage of the 14th CPL match. Till tomorrow, bye!

9.55 pm The winning captain Kumar Sangakkara says: "I thought we came back with our bowling. Rovman Powell at the end really helped us put it back. 173 was probably par on that track. McCarthy got us out of trouble, proper cricketing shots. Everyone's performing for us. It's nice to get wins away from home, takes the pressure away from our Jamaica games. Our boys have had a very chilled attitude and have been able to absorb the pressure. Imad Wasim showed how well he absorbed the pressure. Kesrick was amazing, Lendl was super."

Losing captain Darren Sammy: "We just didn't execute our plans. When you have four guys on the leg side then you wan't the ball to go to the leg side. Our opponents have come and used our conditions better than us. We just don't have the mental toughness to execute and stick to the plans. St Lucia is a place I like to play cricket in. We could see by the turnout that St Lucia fans have been disappointed. We still have four games. Time to play with some pride and passion and get better."

The win takes Tallawahs up to third place now, with six points. No surprise on who the Man of the Match is: it's Andre McCarthy. He says: "We were playing ball by ball and over by over. I'm very confident in my ability, so I kept my composure and I continued to hit the ball. I've been practicing hard. The difference between this season and last season is that I've decided to go to the gym and get stronger. Cheers!" The captains are next.

9.45 pm The heart aches for St Lucia Stars and Darren Sammy but that's their sixth-straight loss of the tournament. Their chances for playoff qualifications are all but nil. They toed Jamaica Tallawahs throughout tonight's contest, but lost the crucial battles when it counted the most. Stars took wickets off no balls, bowled wides during pressure stages and lost too many wickets in a bunch. Jamaica Tallawahs look delighted, though. The team lets McCarthy know he's the man of the hour.

Mayers to McCarthy, SIX, full outside off stump and McCarthy finishes off in style. Gets down on one knee and slaps that over extra cover for a six. A fitting way to end the innings as Jamaica Tallawahs win by five wickets
