8.50pm That's all we have from this semi-final then, which England owned despite losing a toss. They showed up like a champion team, made the most of the fielding lapses from South Africa, and then put up a tight bowling performance. Just one more match to go then in this World Cup, it's Australia vs England on April 3 on the same ground in Christchurch. We'll have a lot more content coming up in the build-up, so stay tuned for those, and, before you go, don't forget to send in your #PoliteEnquiries! It's goodbye from Vishal Dikshit and Srivathsa...

Ivan: "Ecclestone now has most wickets, best average and best economy for the tournament!! Just missing best strike rate
"

Heather Knight: Really pleased. Complete performance today. The girls brought their best cricket when all was on the line. Really chuffed and excited for Sunday. Wyatt was outstanding and really selective with the balls she attacked, didn't get bogged down that she was picking the fielders. Her innings in the middle and the partnership with Dunkley took the game away. Ecclestone 's been brilliant and she bowled outstandingly. Her and Dean in tandem on this wicket, she's come into her own and she had finished the innings strongly as well with the bat. Good day around for her. Excitement for the final, it's a fresh day and all equal on the morning of the day. There was no lack of effort and energy into a long tour and now it's just one final push.

Sune Luus: Don't think we had our best fielding performance, England played a really good game today and well done to them. We need to up our game from today. We needed to be clinical, don't think so it was knockout pressure. We had a great World Cup and nothing can take that away, We did very well in those crunch moments. It's always a big honour to play a World Cup and it was an amazing campaign for South Africa. I'm sure people will be proud of us when we get back home and as a captain I'm proud too.

Wyatt is the Player of the Match: Really complete performance from the girls today. Dunks (Dunkley) has been amazing through the tournament, she has an amazing head on the shoulders. We had to run hard between the wickets and be positive. I've just got to be positive and get my team off to a good start. This one's for the team, we've been together for the last few months, it's been a long trip.

Sampath tells me it's the first ever women's ODI with a century and a six-for.

Sowmya : "Sciver couldn't get her team across v Aus in the league stage. Now Eng must be high on confidence "

8.26pm What a run England have had this World Cup; started with three losses and they've stormed into the second straight final with a comprehensive win against South Africa, whom they had beaten in dramatic fashion in 2017 as well. South Africa never really got going today in the steep chase once Shrubsole removed both the openers cheaply early on. Her swing worked against both Wolvaardt and Lee, and once they were 67 for 4, Ecclestone ran through the rest of the line-up with all six wickets as the asking rate kept climbing. South Africa will rue all the five chances they put down earlier which would have stopped Wyatt a long time before she got to her century, and who knows, South Africa would have been chasing a much smaller total. England, meanwhile, hung on to nearly each one of them, especially the ones at the start, and barring the really tough ones, and that clearly made a big difference.

Ecclestone to Chetty, OUT, sixth wicket for Ecclestone, what a match she's had! Chetty comes down to swing, misses it completely after the ball turns, and Jones does the rest and England are in their sixth final

Ecclestone to Klaas, OUT, it's a maiden five-for for Ecclestone and it's come in a World Cups semi-final! The celebrations have begun for England. Klaas went against the spin for a big sweep, got a leading edge to point where Beaumont took one of the simplest catches
