Scorer: Sudeep Poojar | Commentator: Shashwat Kumar

10:45pm Right. That will be all from us for this game. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we loved bringing it to you. The bottom line, if you were unable to tune in, is that the Hurricanes' qualification hopes are still up and running, while the Renegades' hopes have been extinguished.

We will be back with more BBL action tomorrow as the Adelaide Strikers host the Perth Scorchers. Until then, this is goodbye from Sudeep and me. Take care, folks!

Sam Hain is the Player of the Match, here is what he has to say: (On the win and his innings) Very pleasing. We know it is very tight. The boys are very happy with the win. I will be honest, it (the BBL) has not gone the way I wanted it to so far. It is a competition I have loved watching over the years. Means a lot to be a part of it and contribute today. Have my mates over from the Gold Coast. (On the hamstring) We'll say it is a cramp (smiles) but will have to assess with the physio. We will see how it is.

10:35pm A fairly comfortable run-chase in the end, headlined by Hain's half-century and Anderson's unbeaten 41. McDermott, too, did his bit at the start, keeping the required run-rate in check. There was a brief period, when McDermott got out and the Anderson-Hain partnership scratched around but that proved to be an anomaly, rather than a phase that would prove decisive.

Another disjointed performance by the Renegades, and that sort of sums up their season. There were brief spurts of brilliance, like the Cox-Wells partnership or O'Neill's brilliant opening spell. Those moments, though, were far and few in between, and they eventually limped to their sixth defeat of the season, which has definitively put them out of contention.

Siddle to David, FOUR, the new bat does the trick! The Hurricanes are home, and they have gone back-to-back! Dragged down outside leg. David gets inside the line comfortably and helps it past the keeper. The Renegades' qualification hopes come to an end; the Hurricanes are now right in the thick of things!

David is not happy with his bat, and has asked for a change

Siddle to Anderson, 1 run, low full toss outside off. Anderson clinks it down the ground to long on

Siddle to David, 1 run, safe! Full and wide outside off. David has a wild swish at it. Cuts too much across the ball and slices it on the bounce to deep cover point

Siddle to Anderson, 1 run, very full on leg stump. Anderson tugs it past mid wicket and picks up a single

Siddle to bowl what could be the final over of this game. Anderson on strike. Five fielders in the circle, for what it is worth

Sutherland to David, no run, dropped! Rank full toss outside off. David throws the plumbing at it and smashes it flat to backward point. Straight at O'Neill but luckily for David, the ball pops out of the debutant's hands!

Sutherland to Anderson, 1 run, slower ball bowled full on leg stump. Anderson eases it out to deep mid wicket
