Thunder's batting might keeps them alive

Chasing just 148 after a disciplined bowling performance, Thunder's top three of Usman Khawaja, James Vince and Shane Watson crushed the Stars bowlers, who were defending an under-par total

Scorer: @Cricket_Lama | Commentator: Akshay Gopalakrishnan

Alright then, that's all we have from this game. But don't go anywhere. The BBL moves from the bottom half to the top half of the table as the Hobart Hurricanes clash against the Perth Scorchers. The Scorchers are fielding first. So do switch over there. Goodbye and thanks for your company!

9pm So the Thunder move up to fifth position. And they have a positive net run rate. Thunder give themselves a chance and remain in contention for the playoffs. What a dominant performance! That was a ruthless demolition of the Stars in front of their home crowd. Thunder made this seem like a 200 pitch but it looked far from it when the Stars batted with the ball stopping and run-scoring proving extremely hard. But Thunder's batsmen adjusted by moving around the crease to throw the bowlers off their lengths, piercing gaps and manipulating field placements.

Coleman to Rohrer, 4 leg byes, is that the game? Yes, it is. Short of a length, angling into leg and he tries to pull. But he's tucked up and the ball goes off the pad to deep fine leg

Three needed off four overs.

Hastings to Green, OUT, short ball, could have been the slower one and Green drags a pull straight to mid-off. What an antithetical innings from Green to the rest of the Thunder batting performance! Four off 13
