A long day of cricket today. Australia hosting three games, the Australia-Pakistan Test and two BBL games now. The South Africa India Test at Cape Town is doing things that's beyond belief. Go check it out.

Dan: "5/24 off 4 in a T20 is surely equivalent to a batsmen scoring 100 off 50. Evans deserves the nod but Morris hard done by" That's what Evans said too but that innings turning the game in the Surge can't be too far off either.

Laurie Evans, POTM I'm surprised I'm stood here after Lance's five-for. Was incredible to do it in front of 42000. Lance is an amazing talent, no surprise why an amazing franchise is producing talent like that. We expect to win here, we are going for three which'll be lovely but are taking it day by day.

9:34pm 13 for 4 in the last three overs but that wicket of Short with 58 needed off 25 was when the game was sealed. It was always gonna be a tough chase but Short, with brief support from Lynn and Kelly, kept Strikers in the game. But the equation was always in Scorchers' favour for scoreboard-pressure application. Morris came in to fire, ice and perform all the classic operations to dismantle the chase. Lots of top edged pulls and scoops and outfield catches to finish things off. Gotta say, it was a great T20 wicket.

Khalid: "How much is Kapil paying you to keep publishing so many of his comments?" As much as you have. But actually, think it's all the wickets falling that's giving more time.

Dr John Hunt: "Great figures for Morris. I've never seen him bowl, how quick is he?" He can cross 140ks at will

Dan: "64 off 30 is incredibly hard. Against this Perth attack it's something else altogether. If Dorf doesn't strangle a wicket, Richardson, Tye or the wild thing will. "

Morris to Thornton, 2 runs, Makes room and slaps the full toss following him, through cover. They steal the second on the throw but all that matters is Morris ripping apart Strikers' batting. Crowd cheer him on as he runs to his fielding position

Alby: "If Marcus Harris gets the nod for opener due to him being with the squad for the past few seasons, surely Morris gets Starc or Hazlewood's spot, right?"

Morris to Thornton, no run, Yorker follows Thornton as he makes room, all he can do is jam it to point

Kapil Baldawa: "Sadly, Short got out as I had typed that comment. Wish he had finished it off just like he did a few days earlier chasing another big target"

W
Morris to Bazley, OUT, Nine-pin stuff, Morris has five! 136ks on a short length, didn't rise much. Connolly leant back and looked high into the sky. Settled right under and gobbled it to the delight of Morris.

Morris to Nielsen, 1 run, Fast fully just outside off, inside edges a straight drive onto pad. Rolls to the off side

Kapil Baldawa: "64 off 30 was absolutely on. Problem is Strikers completely lost the momentum from that point. Another win for Perth at Perth loading"

W
Morris to Overton, OUT, Top edge... and it's a low catch for deep third, Morris has four! Length ball on top of middle. Overton cleared the front leg and tried slugging across the line. It ballooned off the edge and Richardson came in to take a good catch in front

Kapil Baldawa: "You can hardly come back after giving away 106 runs in last overs. If it was 190, it would have been chased easily. Sad that Strikers just allowed Perth to bat first. Should have batted first and put runs on the board" That's a change of mind for Kapil after commenting, "Overton and Bazley both can hit big. I feel Strikers will win this with a ball to spare" three minutes earlier

Tye to Kelly, OUT, Agar gets it into the breadbasket, Tye has 150 BBL wickets, both set batters gone! Tye went into the pitch and at the body, didn't give Kelly much pace. The pull didn't come with out-and-out power and went straight to deep-backward square.
