Player of the Match
Player of the Match

Brilliant innings from Matt Renshaw, who was unfussy about his business and made it look ridiculously easy in the end. He hit five fours in his enterprising knock and received able support from the other end, as Paul Walter slammed 30 off just 15 deliveries to break the back of the chase and simply took the bowling apart. There was an early hiccup when Josh Brown and Colin Munro got out early in the piece, but they had a solid middle order that wasn't challenged enough by the target. Richardson was spot-on in his first spell but was outsmarted by the settled pair in the end, making the equation easier for Heat. In the end, it was a tough task for Adam Zampa to bring his team back into the contest as the pair took on the spinner and sent a few out of the park. Paul Walter received the Player of the Match award for his brilliant all-round performance, scoring 30 off 15 and earlier picking three wickets in a tight spell. For the Renegades, they were there and thereabouts; one or two wickets in the middle phase could have sent this game down to the wire. There are some issues to weed out. The pace attack looks a touch thin, and that over from Nic Maddinson, in hindsight, was needless, so certainly some tactical misses in the game. But there's a long way to go in the tournament, and there will be plenty of opportunities to make amends. For Brisbane Heat, they will be mighty pleased with the third win on the trot, and they remain perched at the top of the table. With that, it's time for me, Rvel Zahid, to say goodnight and goodbye. Keep enjoying this beautiful sport and the festive season :-)

Richardson to Walter, SIX, and that will do very nicely for Heat! dragged down and splatted way over deep midwicket for half-a-dozen runs. Clean as a whistle. fraction short and he seizes on the opportunity, tonking it over cow corner region and getting the desired result

Richardson to Walter, FOUR, searching for the yorker but the execution is not quite right, ends up gifting a juicy low full toss on the pads, he munches it and flicks it away to backward square boundary, the moment I started praising him, he starts leaking boundaries!

Richardson to Walter, FOUR, back of a length around the line off, steps to the leg side to open up the off side, smashes Richardson over deep cover for a blistering boundary, there's nobody in the deep to stop that, excellent shot, brilliant awareness of the field and using the gaps really well. He has got a good head on his shoulders and looks like he's keen on taking them over the line. Richardson losing the plot here, he will have to do something different, he's picking the slow balls well
