18.4 it was all a set-up after all! Fuller, straighter, Roy has punched this on the up, no footwork this time, and short cover has snaffled a dolly! The much-needed opening has been prised... Roy is aghast. He had the bowling at his mercy! 123/1

31.4 he's played on! Out of nowhere! Did not see that coming. It was a full outswinger again wide of off, but it just hit the seam and straightened a touch, he drives away from his body playing for a little bit more shape, it comes off a thick inside edge and cannons into the stumps. 206/3
30.1 short, down the leg side and Root has been given out! He flapped into a pull, appeared to feather an edge, and yet he has reviewed... so, the bat was adjacent as the ball flew by ... and there's a murmur on Snicko... it's not a spike as such, but it's enough to send him on his way! Root seems bemused, but the evidence upheld the onfield call. 194/2
34.2 caught at mid off! This is a horrible miscue from Buttler. He clothed this drive and it floated to the Williamson on the circle! It was up and he decided to try and hit through the line but just mistimed it completely. Not sure if it was a cutter that held in the surface. Didn't appear to be. Boult was ecstatic. 214/4
46.1 brilliant catch from Santner at cover! A slower ball off cutter does the trick. It was full outside off, held in the surface, he checks a drive head high at cover, Santner is close, he moves left initially and then flings his hands up to his right and clings on falling backwards. Super catch. Good piece of bowling. 272/7
41.6 holes out to long on! The pressure got to him! He delivered another flatter ball on leg, he tried to launch down the ground but couldn't get the timing or elevation. He hit it flat and straight to Henry on the rope. Henry pouched the simple chance. 248/5
44.5 caught at mid off! Neesham has been excellent! This was a full length, shaping in a touch, he tried to drive inside out but lofted it flat to Williamson on the circle at mid off and he takes the catch well above his eyes 259/6

49.3 outstanding yorker cannons into leg stump! This was the perfect yorker. Tailing in late, he tried to give room but it sneaked under the bat and slammed into the base of leg. Not much Rashid could do 301/8

5.2 utterly sensational from Buttler! That was a fat glance down the leg side, taking a deflection off the glove, but Buttler's footwork was already on the march, a cartwheeling take, stretching fully to his left and clinging on in a single glove! Archer's pace forced the error, even when his line was awry, and New Zealand's opening issues get them deep in trouble once again 14/2
0.5 pinned on the pad-flap and the finger is up before the appeal is out! No messing from Woakes, or Umpire Ravi. He was back on the crease, hit him above the knee-roll on an off-stump line... might have been clipping, but golly! 2/1
15.1 punched back down the pitch, and Wood is appealing for the run-out! Wow, this would be massive ... was Williamson out of his crease. Yep, there's a clear fingertip on the ball as Wood stretched across the crease... and Williamson is nowhere to be seen! This will be OUT! Wood sucks his finger in celebration as the Big Screen confirms it! 61/3
16.4 Taylor has run himself out! Crazy! He glanced this to fine leg and decided to take on a risky second. The throw from Rashid was on the money, Buttler didn't have to do much and Taylor diving at full stretch was well short. The third umpire only needed one replay to see that. No idea why Taylor took that on. 69/4
38.3 banged in short, hopping down the leg side, a floppy paddle-pull, a wafer-thin edge, and the simplest of takes for Buttler! The slower ball suckered the set batsman completely, and that is officially curtains 164/7

25.1 chopped on! Change of angle works! It was back of a length outside off but sliding in and staying a touch low, he tried to cut but it came off the inside edge and cannoned onto the stumps! The crowd loved that 123/5
28.1 holes out to deep square! The golden arm of Stokes strikes! A gentle back of a length loosener, he's back and trying to pick up a pull shot but he mistimes it and hits it straight down Root's throat at deep square. It's an easy catch. Everything working for England 128/6
39.2 walks across the stumps, huge appeal, plumb in front! Santner reviews, because, well, you would wouldn't you. But that looked horribly adjacent... pretty sure there was no bat involved either. Indeed no bat, thumping middle and leg. New Zealand are eight-down! 166/8

43.4 splatters the stumps! Timid from Henry, popping to square leg once again as Wood bangs it in just back of a length, and thuds into middle and leg. Nearly done here! 181/9
44.6 dragged out of his crease, off come the bails, is this it?Yes it is! Beaten by another big turner. The back foot stretches back, but too late. England are into the semi-finals of the World Cup! 186/10
