Scorer: Sudeep Poojar | Commentator: Shashwat Kumar

10:05pm That's it from us for Match 2. Do join us tomorrow as Paarl Royals take on last season's finalists Pretoria Capitals. Until then, this is goodbye from me, Chandan and Sudeep. Take care, folks!

10pm Phew. What a game it was. Until it lasted, of course. MICT set the early pace, courtesy of Rickelton and then finished things off in style with Pollard turning back the clock. DSG did not get off to as good a start, but started finding their feet once Klaasen arrived at the crease.

He smashed the ball to all parts en-route a 35-ball 85, and while he did perish just before the rain arrived, he had put the game beyond MICT and taken DSG past the DLS par score. Klaasen hit eight sixes in total, and it meant that Rickelton, whose six sixes was the bedrock of his 51-ball 87, went in vain.

9:55pm Uh-oh, It's not the news we were looking for. The game has officially been called off, and DSG have won by 11 runs (DLS method). A shame we could not get the finish this match deserved Klaasen did more than enough before rain played spoilsport.

9:30pm Nothing new to report, unfortunately. The intensity of the downpour has reduced but it continues to drizzle. There is a fair bit of water on the covers too, which will need mopping up. A 60-minute buffer is in place before we start losing overs, although half of that might have already been consumed.

9:07pm The rain seems to have gained intensity all of a sudden and Shaun Pollock, on commentary, mentions that this could stick around because there is no breeze to blow it away. All we can do for now is wait...

9:04pm The rain has gotten heavier, and the players are coming off. DSG are ahead of the DLS par score, which, after 16.3 overs is 166. The ground staff have covered the pitch in a jiffy and now a bigger cover is being brought on to protect the square.

Curran to Subrayen, 1 run, back of a length outside off. Subrayen opens his bat face and fences it to short third man

For what it is worth, DSG are ahead of the DLS par score at this stage. A wicket, though, will alter those calculations. Curran to bowl the 17th

85 off 35. What an innings by Klaasen, and it has brought DSG very close to victory. The door, though, has been left slightly ajar for MICT, and they will hope they can barge through

Rabada to Klaasen, OUT, is that the end of Klaasen's innings?! Yes, it is. What an anti-climax! Thigh-high full toss at the stumps. Klaasen backs away and tries to go downtown. Shanks it completely, though, and hits it straight down Curran's throat at long off. 99 times out of 100, Klaasen would have hit that into next week. But on this occasion, he could not, and it has brought MICT back into the game!
