  • Shakib Al Hasan4-0-30-1

7pm And with that, Shakib wanders over to claim the series trophy, and here come his players to join him on the podium. A terrific moment for them, one of Bangladesh's proudest achievements, particularly on home soil, and such was their allround threat that even a full-strength England would have struggled to stay with them.

Zabed: "What a gorgious show by tigers! Bangla soap wash."

Imran Imon: "Fantastic series win by Bangladesh. Is it a new era started? Nice to see young players playing with winning attitude. It's always special to win a series against the world champions as well as the best white ball team of the world. "

Max Mohammad: "I say give Alan Donald an honorary Bangladeshi citizenship. The boys seem to like him and he seems to enjoy his role. Plus look at the match awareness by the pacers! "

And so ends England's endless winter... it's taken us from Pakistan, to Australia, to Pakistan, to South Africa, to New Zealand and now to Bangladesh. And it's encompassed some remarkable cricket along the way. From the T20 World Cup win to the top notes of Bazball, to a one-run Test loss and now to a 3-0 Banglawash! But never fear, the bandwagon doesn't stop for long. Next stop, the IPL, then an Ashes summer looms. From Miller, Alan, Ranjith and the team, thanks and goodnight. I'm off to celebrate Cricinfo's 30th birthday by not typing for a few hours!

6.57pm And here's the skipper, Shakib Al Hasan: "We were really good in this T20 series, fielded well, bowlers were good, batters contributed. Build on from here for the (T20) World Cup next year. We batted really well on a tricky wicket, credit to Litton and Rony, we were happy with the total, and had to stick to our plan. That over to get two set batsmen out in two balls changed the game completely. From then on we had the momentum. Ireland will be another challenge for us, we have to continue this performance."

6.49pm Time for some presentations. It is a Banglawash! A Mr White Detergent Banglawash!

Jos Buttler: "It's really disappointing to lose but congrats to Bangladesh, they outplayed us and deserve their victory. We came back well, after missing some opportunities in the field. The wicket played better and it was a good score to restrict them to. Losing two wickets in two balls is really poor, very disappointed in myself not not diving, potentially cost us the game."

The Fizz is the Tiger of the Match; the Most Valuable Player of the Match is Taskin Ahmed. Prizes for everyone! But the official Player of the Match is Litton Das for his 73 from 57 balls.

Litton: "I'm really happy and my family is really happy. When the bowler had the new ball it was challenging, the wicket was tricky. The way Rony batted in the Powerplay, and afterwards Shanto, all the pressure goes from my side."

The Player of the Series goes to Najmul Hossain Shanto, for his 144 runs in the three games. "We won this series so a special thanks to my coaching staff and all the players who helped me through this series. If we field well it helps the bowlers, so we need to improve more. We have a big series coming up so hope we can continue our good performance."

6.42pm The presentations will be coming up shortly. But for the time being, that's only England's third T20I whitewash (min two-match series), which says a lot about Bangladesh's achievement.

Tarek: "Don't forget to thanks the Alan Donald! The way BD pacers grown their bowling sense, it is incredible!!!"

Cal: "that England performance was more Oslo in 1981 than Wembley in 1967 " Maggie Thatcher, can you hear me?

6.29pm Handshakes all round as Bangladesh claim a fine 3-0 clean sweep over the World Champions! It's Scotland at Wembley in 1967 all over again! England looked as though they had this one under control until Malan and Buttler fell in consecutive deliveries, the latter to a direct-hit run-out, and thereafter it was a slow boa-like squeeze on an unsteady lower-order, who couldn't find their timing on a pitch that played better than in game two but still required some time to get one's eye in. Impressive from Bangladesh throughout, however, from Litton with the bat to Taskin and the Fizz with the ball, and Tanvir the debutant, who struck in his first over.

Afeef: "Getting whitewashed 3-0 is a bit much for this England side. Sure they're missing some players but these players are still very talented." Indeed. Clearly, their off-balance batting did not help them. But will it pay off at the 50-over World Cup? That's the logic. Judge it in the long term, I guess. But in the short-term, they've received a deserved thumping.

Saif: "It's Banglawash time!Super excited watching Banglawash sitting in the office in London!Haha.. my colleagues are here to congratulate me.Cannot thank you enough Bangla Tigers."

Andrew Thomas : "As Jonny Wilkinson of England's abysmal capitulation at Twickenham last Saturday" it needed to happen" to show us how far behind we are. Same story here " Steady on, England won the T20 World Cup three months ago! If anything, they are guilty of sitting on their laurels, quite literally.

Titas: "'Chris'es couldn't cross the line!" But they're gonna make you jump jump ... right?

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, no run, thuds the pad with the full toss, and that is the end of that!

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, no run, another wipe at the slower ball, can't connect at that either. Nearly there!

Hasan Mahmud to Jordan, 1 bye, another slower ball, this is the way to do it. Jordan rocks back for an ungainly slog and finds thin air. It's over bar the no-balls now...

jack: "I've admittedly not watched any of this series, but have England been poor or Bangladesh brilliant? Or a bit of both!? " A bit of both, yes. But take nothing away from this performance

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, 1 bye, slower ball, outside Woakes' eyeline, he misses with the big wind-up but Jordan hustles him through

19 off 4... we're into Carlos Brathwaite territory...

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, FOUR, full length, yorker, Woakes opens his stance and finds the rope again! Sweetly timed through deep third, and there's a bit of pressure now!

RobP: "Don't know about snookers, we need Allan Lamb" Need a bit more than that!

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, FOUR, low full toss, and pumped through mid-off! One-handed in the end, but does the trick to keep England just about afloat
