Ireland lost regular wickets throughout there reply and just didn't hit enough boundaries to put the Afghan bowlers under any real pressure. Once Stirling fell to a Worldie of a catch from Aftab, you just could just see the hope go out of the innings. A quick fire 34 off 23 balls, briefly brought life back in, yet it quickly went again.
Afghanistan's bowlers all took wickets and Rashid once again finished with 3. So a 16 run victory means that they go 1-0 up in the series. The next game is on Wednesday, so hopefully you can join me then. This is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from a darkening Bready.
