The rain had steadily been coming down for the last 10 minutes. The Umpires did well to stay out there and Kerr managed to eek out the last two wickets. With Raymond-Hoey top scoring on 42, Ireland were never going to be able to challenge that massive total. Kerr ended up with five wickets and that really did cap off her excellent day.
So New Zealand complete the clean sweep of the series and send up winning 3-0. Its just been announced that Amelia Kerr has been announced as the player of the series. So well done to her.
New Zealand will now take a short trip across the Irish sea, to play a tri-series against England and South Africa. Then another ODI series against England. For the Irish women, Bangladesh will be the next visitors in a couple of weeks.
Until then I'd just like to thank you for following my commentary over the past week, we have seen records a plenty and its been alot of fun. Until next time this is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from Clontarf.
