It begins as the kind of delivery - full and on off stump - a batsman would love to clip through midwicket. Half a second later it bursts through the bat and pad gap and nails middle stump. One moment, he is shifting his weight back to block, and he seems to have covered for all possibilities. Except the freakish one, like the ball holding its line and soaring off the shoulder of the bat to gully. The third umpire is brought in to check whether Dilruwan has taken it cleanly. And replays suggest he has. Great work, running forwards, diving headlong at the ball, as if he was diving off a springboard into a swimming pool 213/3
