2:05pm That will be all from us for this game. Sri Lanka were just too good for Bangladesh and they outclassed them in every department across ten and a half sessions of play. Bangladesh, though, still have a chance to level this series, and that opportunity will arrive starting Saturday. We hope to have your company for that game too. Until then, this is goodbye from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo. Take care, folks!

Dhananjaya de Silva, the Sri Lanka captain is also the Player of the Match for his twin centuries: Individually, very happy. The way I performed, it helped the team as well, away from home. (On his partnership with Kamindu Mendis) The wicket had something for the fast bowlers. We were talking about playing late and what shots to play on this wicket. It paid off at the end of the day. Kamindu batted really well too on his comeback match. (On Kamindu Mendis counter-attacking) That is what I want from the No.7 - to go after the bowling and to keep the scoreboard moving so we can be in the driver's seat. In the second innings, there was not as much help as the first innings. It was about hitting the right areas, staying patient and it paid off. (On what conditions he expects in the second Test) No idea about it, we have to go and see the conditions, and we will prepare accordingly.

Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh captain: (On the defeat) It happens sometimes, but the way DDS and Kamindu batted, credit goes to them. The way we started, really proud of our seam bowlers. The wicket was good. There was movement early on. We have to improve our new-ball batting. Lot of work has to be done before the next Test and we are going to have a plan to come back strongly. (On Mominul) He played an outstanding innings, he showed his experience. We were expecting a knock like this from him, hopefully he can continue.

1:48pm The second-biggest margin of victory (in terms of runs) for Sri Lanka, and that does send out a statement. Several stellar performances for Sri Lanka, and that was the difference between the two sides. de Silva and Kamindu Mendis were sensational with the bat in both innings, managing twin tons and etching themselves into the record books.

Rajitha picked up eight wickets across the game, including a five-wicket haul in the fourth innings. Fernando was not shabby either, and he set the ball rolling yesterday, while Kumara, with his pace, bounce and zip, caused the Bangladesh batters all sorts of problems. The pacers, in fact, picked up all 20 Bangladesh wickets that fell in Sylhet.

Not much to shout about for the hosts. Apart from Mominul's rear-guard action yesterday and today, and Taijul's act as night-watcher on day two, they lacked the application to stave off the Sri Lankan pace-bowling threat. Some of the shots they played, especially yesterday, left plenty to be desired. It might not have mattered in the grand scheme of things with Bangladesh chasing so many. However, that is something they will have to rectify soon, given the next Test starts on Saturday.

Stick around for the presentation ceremony.

Kumara to Nahid Rana, OUT, that will be that! Kumara picks up the final wicket, and Sri Lanka win by 328 runs! Dug in short on middle and off, and the ball keeps snaking back into Rana. He cannot get out of the way and just fends at it in hope. The ball pops up off the shoulder of the bat towards de Silva, who makes no mistake running back from second slip. A superb result for Sri Lanka, and this victory also gives them their first WTC points this cycle!

Rana pulls out late, and that has irked Kumara

Kumara to Nahid Rana, no run, banged in short outside off. Rana is ducking underneath it as soon as the bowler lets go

Aaron Gocs: "Rana has 11 first class runs" -- He was unbeaten in the first innings, though, and kept out 8 balls...

Here's Kumara to kick us off after the short interval. He might fancy his chances against Rana. Don't think a lot of deliveries will be pitching in the batter's half

Drinks break. Mominul goes up to the dressing room, perhaps a bathroom break for him.

Jayasuriya to Mominul Haque, FOUR, goes over the top! Fired in quick on leg stump. Mominul gets inside the line, gets down low enough and paddles it over short fine leg!

Jayasuriya to Mominul Haque, no run, darted in on a length down leg. Mominul looks to paddle it fine but cannot beat short fine leg. Might have missed everything actually and went off Mendis' gloves towards the fielder
