- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR17.6 Gurbaz has punched it back to the bowler, drops his bat and has hands on head! He's puzzled. Hard not to see why. That's as soft as they came. Offbreak on a length, landed outside off and turned back in. It got very little pace off the pitch, Gurbaz went on the back foot and casually tried to work it to long-on. It didn't bounce as much and was a bit too slow, so he spooned it low to the left of McBrine, who dove across and took a good catch. Stirling's bowling change rewarded with a big bonus 85/310.5 Ibrahim has clothed the pull, and Campher takes it at mid-on! Banged into the pitch around off, it was angling in. Ibrahim made a bit of room and tried to flat-bat it with might. Top edged it straight up for a dolly. First wicket is against the run of play, McCarthy and Ireland will take it with both hands 62/113.4 Outside edge, tickled to the keeper. Adair has Rahmat again, he's chuffed and indicates literally that he's pocketed his man. Back of length around off, looked like a straight ball. Rahmat's bat came across, from fine leg towards mid-off, the angle worked against him as there was lesser surface area for the ball to hit. Ended up tickling away to the keeper 73/245.2 Wow, that's a double-bluff to trap Hashmat in front! Mid-off was in and Hashmat might've expected a shorter ball but this was fullish and angled in at the stumps. He was way too late on the flick and Adair hit the back pad flush. Off pole was showing and he was right in front. Umpire gave it out early. The skipper can't make up for the slow start. He's taken the side over 200 but falls with 28 balls and just three wickets left 207/721.4 Mix-up and run out at the non-striker's end! Omarzai was off but Hashmat was not interested. Skipper took two steps before showing his palm to the partner and saying no, but Omarzai was halfway down by then. Tector threw it on the bounce at top-of-stump height for McBrine, who ran back and dislodged the bails before Omarzai could make it in. Was a length ball that was tapped with open-faced angled bat towards point 96/442.4 Nabi holes out to long-on! He's not been getting as much strike in the last few overs. With the final powerplay underway, he tried going big. Got on one knee and tried lumping the full ball from outside off, with a rotational swing. Got it off the toe, Tector ran in, to the diagonal left, and took a good low catch. 193/543.6 Tector's yorked Alikhil and knocked him over, in fact the batter's yorked himself. He took a step down and tried to work it across the line, ended up playing across it and the ball snuck through the gap to hit middle. Tector's pumped. 202/646.6 Wide and full, edged to the keeper. McCarthy looks annoyed after the last couple of balls have cost runs despite the batter not in control. He kept this one away from Kharote's reach, who tried to slash it square but could only edge it to the keeper 219/847.4 Rattles off pole! Seam-up, full and straight, Ghazanfar clears the front leg and tries to clobber it across the line. - BATSMENRBM4s6sSR2.2 a loud and confident appeal for caught behind, and the umpire takes his time to give it out. Well taken by Alikhil, as he had to go low to his left and collect it in front of his boot, with the ball curving in and also dying on to him. Farooqi bowled on a short of a length in the channel outside off, and got it to move back in, with Balbirnie punching and getting an inside edge. Afghanistan strike early in their defence of a respectable total 4/117.3 well taken at long-off! Mid-off was inside when Stirling hit the six off Nabi two overs back, but this time the fielder is back. The tall Ghazanfar is on the boundary at long-off - no shorter man could have managed the catch, perhaps - and takes it with a reverse cup over his head. Nabi bowled full around middle and off, and Stirling again skipped down the pitch to try and launch the offspinner out of the ground, but seemed to have got it off bottom of the bat 77/224.4 Kharote and Alikhil are delighted, and Campher is given out caught behind. Campher, though, walks back with a small face full of disappointment. Kharote bowled a full delivery, getting it to angle in, and pitching on leg. It went on with the angle from around the wicket, as Campher looked to clip after getting back in the crease. But it was gobbled by the keeper, although if it came off the inside edge or off the pad remains unclear 101/521.5 appeal for lbw again, and this time the finer goes up rather quickly. Tector walks back after a struggle to get going. The ball was tossed up, and dipping on a full length bang on off stump. It turned back in to hit Tector right in front, as he looked to flick but was beaten, seemingly by how quickly the ball went off the pitch 93/323.3 chipped to midwicket! Both previous ball in this over went to that man, who is actually placed wider than where the usual midwicket is. Kharote takes it with a reverse cup in front of his face, and Ireland lose another to Nabi. Length delivery dipping on to middle and off, as Tucker looked to push forward but ended up lobbing to the fielder. I think the slowness of the pitch played a part there 101/426.1 bowled him! Kharote gets his second on debut. This one turned away to hit the off stump, as Kharote angled this fullish ball in. It landed on middle and off, as Dockrell went forward to drive. But he was beaten by the turn, and thus further derailed Ireland's chase 102/626.6 wow, Kharote is on a roll! Adair is also unhappy as he walks back, though. This landed on a length on off after being angled in from around the wicket. Adair went back in the crease as the ball turned away, and hit him on his back leg on off stump as he looked to push 103/727.5 bowled him! Nabi strikes again, as one wheel after another comes off for Ireland. This kept low a little, even as it skidded through and went on with the arm from around the wicket. Nabi bowled on a length on middle and off, with McBrine back in the crease to try and slash. But he was beaten by the lack of bounce, as the stumps were hit 103/834.6 cleans him up! Kharote hits back immediately after being hit for a six. This stays low off a length on middle and leg, as it skidded through to beat McCarthy's attempted slash. Kharote has four on debut, as Afghanistan win by 117 runs take the series 2-0 119/1033.4 superb ball! Nabi has his maiden ODI five-for! He angled this into the left-hander, and got it to dip on the shorter side of a length on off. Hume went to defend, but the ball skidded through rather hurriedly to beat his bat, as Nabi strikes again 111/9Extras3 (lb 2, w 1)TOTAL119 all out (35 Overs, RR: 3.4)Fall of wickets: 1-4 (Andy Balbirnie, 2.2 ov), 2-77 (Paul Stirling, 17.3 ov), 3-93 (Harry Tector, 21.5 ov), 4-101 (Lorcan Tucker, 23.3 ov), 5-101 (Curtis Campher, 24.4 ov), 6-102 (George Dockrell, 26.1 ov), 7-103 (Mark Adair, 26.6 ov), 8-103 (Andy McBrine, 27.5 ov), 9-111 (Graham Hume, 33.4 ov), 10-119 (Barry McCarthy, 34.6 ov)
