2.4 oh, got him, clipping the top of off! Initially looked like Dilshan had edged behind, trying to drive on the up and got slightly cramped for room - maybe just nibbled away from him a touch. Good bowling and that's Gurney's first wicket in an England shirt 24/1
3.3 Kusal goes, flicking straight to short fine leg - Bopara didn't have to move! Jordan picks up Sri Lanka's other opener, this was a shortish leg-stump delivery that probably should have got the treatment but instead Kusal slapped it to the man on the edge of the ring and slopes off. At least he's ended his run of single-figure scores, I suppose 24/2
9.4 uppercuts, over the ring but not far enough to clear the ropes, Carberry comes in off the boundary for a simple take! Dug in short and struck a little too cleanly, sailed all the way to the fielder 78/3
17.1 low full toss, slower at 68mph, swung to leg but a terrible connection off the bottom of the bat and flies it straight to deep-midwicket. A total miscue, deceived by the lack of pace, and holes out at a poor time just when Sri Lanka were looking for a kick 141/6
10.3 goes for the slog sweep again and gets this wrong, it's gone up and not long enough and Hales takes the catch a solid take running in a little from long-on, a second excellent strike for England. That was a little wider, more off stump from Root and had to be fetched more 85/4
14.6 down the track, goes downtown again but this time doesn't time it and picks out long-off. He was aiming leg side again but this squirted to the off side and didn't have the carry to evade long-off who didn't have to move 122/5
19.6 nailed back to the bowler, it clatters the stumps at the bowler's end, they run but Gurney is aware, grabs the ball, runs to the wicket and yanks out the stump to run out Perera and deny him what would have been the fastest half-century by a Sri Lankan in T20 183/7

1.2 not quite so full, Carberry shuffles forward and slices hiiiiiiiigggghhh to third man... where Kulasekara plunges forward and hangs on! Carberry was trying to take Mathews on, hitting to leg and it left him a touch, no control on the shot 9/1

16.4 another slower ball, this 73mph, and Hales swings leg side and misses. Malinga holds his nerve, four slower balls in a row and Hales eventually succumbs. The last went for four, expecting full pace, Hales set himself to go leg side but it was pace off again and did for Hales 139/6
5.5 Bell attacks, skies into the off side... and Kusal slips in the covers before recovering to take the catch! This was a length ball, Malinga cut his fingers over it and Bell mistimed his shot almost perpendicular to the pitch... not the most convincing return in the shortest format for I Ron Man 45/2
7.6 down the leg side, Root gets a tickle on it and Chandimal collects! Lakmal gets a wicket, not one for the hall of fame but they all count... the ball slipped off the face of the bat as he tried to whip through square 58/3
11.3 low full toss outside off, Morgan reaches for it and chips it down the ground, long-off runs in and Lakmal takes a superb catch diving forward, that's a cracking catch. Very hard coming at the ball but that was a very smart piece of work, big wicket too 85/4
15.3 full toss on the stumps, right in the slot, Buttler goes leg side but gets it right off the toe and Dilshan takes the catch at deep midwicket. Bad miscue from Buttler and a very bad ball to get out to 124/5

18.3 another slower ball, Jordan tries to step back and play off side but is through too early on the stroke and gets a thick inside edge into his stumps. Jordan without too much of an idea against Malinga, he's finally decided to force the pace and has perished 158/7
