4.50pm Afghanistan follow up the T20 series win with the ODI series win. This seven-wicket victory caps a dominant few weeks for Stanikzai's men. They bask in glory and celebrate. Rashid Khan, who set it up for his team with four wickets, animatedly pumps his fist.

Afghanistan were chasing for the first time this series. They lost Shahzad and Tarakai, the debutant, early but Shah and Stanikzai put Afghanistan back on track with a 73-run stand. Stanikzai fell for 39, but Shah moved to his second ODI hundred and provided the coup de grâce with a six. Shenwari also prospered, marking his return with an unbeaten fifty. Do stick around for the presentation

Fawad Saleh: "Rahmat, Nabi, Rashid, Sami, Dawlat will go onto become good Test players as well."

Harsh Dubey: "What a way to finish the match, Shah does a Dhoni."

Harsh Dubey: "Well deserved hundred by Rahmat, he deserves the Man of the Match award too."

Anmol lakhmani: "A very very high-quality knock from rahmat shah! A lad with great future ahead .."

Presentation:

Rahmat Shah is the Man of the Match

Shah: We just took our time on this wicket. It was nice to bat on and win it. We have put in a lot of hard work for the last two-three months.

Paul Stirling is the Man of the Series

Stirling: It was nice to get a few runs and contribute. Today we were outplayed, Rahmat took the game away from us. Afghanistan deserved the win. I like playing in the subcontinent. The ball does not do much and we can play some expansive shots. The Intercontinental Cup is a massive game for us. Hopefully we learn from these games and go well.

Porterfield, Ireland captain: I think we were 20-30 light with the bat. 250-260 would have made an interesting chase. Rahmat played well and took them over the line. As Paul mentioned, the last few months have done a world of good. Congratulations to Afghanistan. I am pleased with how we fought till the end.

Stanikzai, Afghanistan captain: Last few months we have won two T20 and two ODI series. Dawlat Zadran bowling well is a good sign for us. Today Shah and Shenwari played very well and showed their ability and experience.

Stanikzai collects the trophy and rejoices with his team-mates. That is all we have for you from this match. Thanks for reading. Looking forward to your company for the Intercontinental Cup four-day match, which starts on March 28. Until then, goodbye.
