Once the Minnesota Timberwolves sign Taj Gibson, Jeff Teague and Jamal Crawford, the team will have 11 players under contract. President of basketball operations and head coach Tom Thibodeau is planning to fill spots 12-14 and then hold open the 15th place.

"We’ll look at three more," Thibodeau told WCCO's Sports Huddle show on Sunday, according to the Pioneer Press. "We'll keep one (spot) probably open to keep an eye on guys the rest of the summer and in season. We like to have the flexibility with that 15th spot."

Thibodeau said he's focused on adding more depth at point guard and at the wing positions. Thibodeau also needs those players to be capable shooters, which is a big need for the team.

"The one thing about this year in comparison to last year, the free agency is moving a lot slower," Thibodeau said. "So there’s still a lot of players up on the board and we feel we're going to have a good shot at some guys that can really play and we want to continue to look at the shooting component, and, of course, guys that can play defense."

When training camp opens in a few months, Thibodeau's starting lineup should include Teague, Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Gibson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
