TAB verdict: Geelong has the best record (equal with West Coast) this season of winning when they are the underdog.

The Cats have won four and drawn once out of seven times they have been the underdog - defeating Adelaide in round 11, drawing with the Giants in round 15, losing to Adelaide at home by 21 points in round 18, going down to Sydney by 46 points in round 20, beating Richmond by 14 points in round 21, prevailing over the Giants in the final round by 44 points and defeating Sydney in last week's semi final.

Punters are predicting Geelong will cause another upset with 63% of the support with the Cats.

Geelong to win by 1-39 points ($3.40).

TAB verdict: The Giants have only been the underdog in three matches this season - round 10 against the Eagles when they won by eight points, against Sydney in round 17 when the Swans were victorious by 13 points and in the qualifying final when they lost to Adelaide.

Richmond on the other hand, has been the most reliable team as favourite in 2017.

The Tigers have lost only three of 14 matches when they were expected to win - a two point loss against Fremantle when David Mundy kicked a goal after the siren, a 67-point thrashing at the hands of St Kilda and a 14-point loss to Geelong.

The Tiger Train to steam on into the Grand Final with a victory over 15.5 points ($2.20).
