Match Commentary

81'29-17 End of second half
80'Wales are heading to the quarterfinal as Fiji head home. An upset looked to be on the cards for much of the game, but Wales were able to show their skill and secure a crucial victory.
77'Nothing much to add. The ball is spending a lot of time in the middle of the pitch; these final moments a far cry from the explosive end-to-end thriller we were treated to in the first half.
74'The game looks to get further and further out of Fiji's reach as the seconds tick by. They're not giving up though. But Wales look assured in their defence and it would be a shock to see them slip up in these final few minutes.

69'Full back Liam Williams finished off an opportunistic move from Wales. Gareth Davies was pushed down in a tackle but was able to get back to his feet to break through a hole in the defence. Williamson received a well-timed offload to put Wales in a far more comfortable position than they've been for much of this game.

66'Wales are looking to see out the last stages of this game. Fiji have had more of the ball in the last ten minutes but have been unable to unpick their opponents.
65'Fiji aren't backing down, they're throwing everything at Wales in what will be their final match at this World Cup if they fail to to emerge victorious. Twice the underdogs shows power down the left. Wales are defending well so far.
64'Player substituted - Tevita Cavubati , Fiji
64'Substitute on - Api Ratuniyarawa , Fiji
63'Substitute on - Owen Watkin , Wales
63'Player substituted - Jonathan Davies , Wales
62'Substitute on - Peceli Yato , Fiji

61'Wales centre Jonathan Davies showed incredible speed and quick thinking to run down the channel and break the Fiji line. He looked to be in position to score himself before he was tackled just a couple of metres out. Josh Adams collected the ball as Davies went down and touched it over the tryline in a near vertical position with his head facing the floor following a last-ditch tackle. TMO checked to see if he was in touch. But not this time.
61'22-17 Try - Josh Adams , Wales
58'17-17 Penalty goal - Rhys Patchell , Wales
57'Biggar's replacement Rhys Patchell keeps his composure and kicks through the post for three points. The scores go level at 17-17.
56'Fly-half Dan Biggar has left the game with a suspected head injury.
56'Substitute on - Rhys Patchell , Wales
56'Player substituted - Dan Biggar , Wales
54'Semi Radradra causes Wales danger again and offloads the ball deep into the opposing half. Wales collapsed the ensuing maul and a penalty try was awarded. This game is shaping up to a massive decider for Wales, who are looking to avoid a repeat of the 2011 World Cup where Fiji knocked them out in a huge upset.
54'14-17 Penalty try
53'Yellow card - James Davies , Wales
52'Player substituted - Manasa Saulo , Fiji
52'Substitute on - Peni Ravai , Fiji
51'Fiji never fail to look dangerous, even if they can't finish off the move. Winger Semi Radradra displayed some great footwork and speed to almost break away as he squirmed through the Wales line. He offloaded the ball to a Wales body when he was brought down, but it' a sign of Fiji's intent in this contest.
49'A forward pass to the Fiji wing ruled out what could have been a penalty try. The TMO has been busy thus far.
48'Fiji looked to strike back but a ruck deep into the Wales half ended with the favourites turning the ball over at the breakdown.
43'The second half has started at a slower pace than the first, with Wales looking to control this game. Their task is simple: see out the match and book a place in the quarterfinals. Fiji won't roll over easily, though.
41'Substitute on - Eroni Mawi , Fiji
41'Player substituted - Campese Ma'afu , Fiji
41'14-10 End of first half
40'A half of two quarters for Wales ends with the favourites in the lead at the break. But this game is far from over. Fiji have been dangerous and undoubtedly better than they were last time out in their defeat to Uruguay.
40'14-10 Start of second half
37'Despite being down on the scorebaord, Fiji are undoutedly dangerous, causing Wales all kinds of problems. A long pass out right that almsost led to another try was deemed forward. When back to full strength, Fiji were back on the attack. Their lack of discipline has hurt them so far.
34'Scrums are the only thing that can slow this game down. So far it's been a display of fast, attacking rugby from both sides.
32'Substitute on - Jale Vatubua , Fiji
32'Player substituted - Levani Botia , Fiji
32'14-10 Conversion - Dan Biggar , Wales
31'12-10 Try - Josh Adams , Wales
29'Well that was coming. The Wales forwards hammered away at the Fiji defence on the tryline. The ball is quickly spread wide for a Wales try. And, if you've been watching so far, it wouldn't be a surprise that it's Adams with the score. Wales lead for the first time in this game.
29'It's almost de ja vu. Another good scrum, another pass left to Adams, and almost another shot at a try. This time Adams is stopped short of the line. Multiple rucks at the line ensued but Fiji push back. Semi Kunatani then makes an offside tackle and receives a yellow card. A depleted Fiji side will try again to keep Wales out.
29'Yellow card - Semi Kunatani , Fiji
26'TMO in use once again -- a very controlled and powerful scrum by Wales five yards out leads to Josh Adams receiving the ball deep in the left corner. Adam places the ball down as he is pushed out of play. It's a toss of a coin decision, almost impossible to tell. The officials decide not to award the try. Another attacking scrum for Wales.
23'The game looked rather like football for a second. Wales looked to break with the ball on the floor, a long kick forward as four players from each team chased, ending with Kini Murimurivalu collecting to clear the danger.
20'Substitute on - James Davies , Wales
20'Player substituted - Elliot Dee , Wales
20'7-10 Conversion - Dan Biggar , Wales
18'5-10 Try - Josh Adams , Wales
17'Wales are fighting back for the first time in this game. A multi-phase attack culminates in a high kick to the left corner where wing Josh Adams is waiting. He collects from the air and scores with ease.
17'The TMO is getting involved again -- and now Tevita Cavubati is in trouble for a hit in the ruck, which targeted Alun Wyn Jones. Yellow card and he's probably lucky it's only yellow.
17'Yellow card - Tevita Cavubati , Fiji
14'Astonishing stat: Fiji, who lost to Uruguay in their opening match, have had 71% possession so far in this match.
14'Substitute on - Elliot Dee , Wales
14'Player substituted - James Davies , Wales
12'Finally, a few minutes have passed without someone grounding the ball past a tryline. Wales are looking to take a hold of the game after the play has largely passed them by in these opening stages.
9'End-to-end stuff! A ruck in the centre of the pitch is rather hastily spread out to the right. A long pass to Kini Murimurivalu culminates in another try for the underdogs. An upset could be on the cards.
9'0-10 Try - Kini Murimurivalu , Fiji
8'Yellow card - Ken Owens , Wales
6'Two ruled out tires in these early stages. Wales almost gave an instant reply to an early Fiji score. Fiji fullback Kini Murimurivalu attempted a pass to his left before a Wales tackle allowed the favourites to run home for a score. TMO pulled the play back, ruling that the tackle produced a knock on. Then a Fiji break down the left led to another try, but the final pass was then ruled to have been forward -- which it obviously is. TMO then called into action again, ending with a yellow card for Wales' Ken Owens for a foul play.
4'0-5 Try - Josua Tuisova , Fiji
3'Fiji have started the better of the two. Leone Nakarawa made a short-lived break through the middle before the ball was spread wide and then eventually put into touch. A Fiji scrum came shortly after, with winger Josua Tuisova collecting the ball and powering between two Wales defenders at the corner. TMO confirmed the try. Fiji take an early lead!
1'The players are out, anthems have been sung and Fijian cibi complete. Time for kick off.
1'Fiji are two points behind Wales in Pool D, with a win enough to take them above their British opponents. It is worth noting that Fiji knocked Wales out of the 2011 World Cup following in a massive upset. Could lightning strike twice?
1'Hello and welcome to ESPN's live coverage of Wales'pivotal match against Fiji, where Warren Gatland's side will look to seal their place in the World Cup quarterfinals.
