Watford's Obbi Oulare joins Royal Antwerp on loan

Watford's Obbi Oulare has completed a loan move to Royal Antwerp, signing with the Belgian side until the end of the season.

Antwerp confirmed the move for the 21-year-old centre forward on their official website, with the Belgo-Guinean hitman returning to the Jupiler League after a spell on loan at Zulte Waregem last season.

He spent the first six months of the campaign on loan in the land of his birth - having been deemed surplus to requirements by Walter Mazzarri - before switching to Willem II in January.

The forward was signed by Watford for £6 million in September 2015, but has struggled to make an impact at Vicarage Road, making just three appearances for the Hertfordshire club.

Oulare, the son of former Guinea and Stoke City international Souleymane, began his senior career with Club Brugge after spells with Anderlecht, Lille and Standard Liege among others at youth level.

Watford's new coach Marco Silva can call upon Mauro Zarate, Isaac Success, Troy Deeney, Stefano Okaka and Jerome Sinclair as attacking options, while Steven Berghuis is also available after returning from his loan spell at Feyenoord.
