Chelsea's Nathaniel Chalobah target of Leicester, Swansea, Watford - sources

Leicester, Swansea and Watford are eyeing moves for Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Chalobah's future at Chelsea is up in the air with the player yet to hold down a place in the side at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old, who has come through the ranks at Chelsea, is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and he is weighing up his future.

Chelsea are keen to tie him down to a new deal, but Chalobah could be tempted away in the search of regular first-team football.

Chalobah, who was a member of the England squad that reach the semifinals of last month's European Under-21 Championship, made 15 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season, although only one of them was a start in the Premier League.

Chalobah has spent time on loan at Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli during his time at Chelsea, but if he is not guaranteed regular action he could decide to move on.

The news has alerted a number of Chelsea's Premier League rivals to Chalobah's possible availability this summer.

Watford remain admirers of Chalobah from his time on loan at Vicarage Road during the 2012-13 season, while Swansea boss Paul Clement is a big fan of the midfielder having worked with the player during his time as youth coach and first-team coach at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester are also keeping tabs on Chalobah as they look to freshen up their squad after a disappointing campaign last term and Chalobah is sure to have no shortage of offers if he does decide to leave Chelsea.
