Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has praised Paris Saint-Germain CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi but warned of the "dangerous" financial bubble created by the Ligue 1 leaders.
Speaking to Le Parisien ahead of Sunday's Ligue 1 clash between the pair, Aulas warned that PSG do not "exist in a real economy."
He said: "I adore Nasser -- he has an engaging personality. He possesses plenty of qualities.
"However, the model that he represents I find dangerous for French football and in this case, clubs like mine, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Saint-Etienne, who exist in a real economy.
"We do not have the precise information and details but an annual budget of €800 million, that is a lot and it is dangerous for clubs of a human size."
Aulas said there were times when he and Al-Khelaifi did not see eye-to-eye but added: "Honestly, there are moments when we understand each other very well.
"I know that sometimes Nasser is horrified when I say what I want to say, but that is usually about how PSG have created a dangerous bubble of inflation in French football.
"However, the man is endearing. You can separate the system and what it represents and the man. That is not in question.
"The issue is the structures within French football that have legitimised this state of affairs.
"I have nothing against Nasser but I am fighting against the system that he represents. That does not detract from my esteem towards him."
Aulas, who has owned Lyon for more than 30 years, added: "If I was 30 years younger, I would like to be like him. He is intelligent, elegant and at ease. Obviously, he does not have any financial worries either!"
Lyon are second in Ligue 1, 11 points adrift of PSG.
