Juventus' Moise Kean wants World Cup win with Italy

Juventus prodigy Moise Kean has set his sights on winning a World Cup with Italy as he focuses on helping the Squadra Azzurra's under-17s reach next summer's European Championship.

The 16-year-old became the first player born in the new millennium to feature in a Serie A and Champions League fixture last year and he is eligible to represent both Italy and Ivory Coast at international level.

After featuring once again for Italy's U17s in a friendly against Austria this week, ahead of their elite-round qualifying group in the Netherlands next month, he said his allegiances are with Italy and his ambitions are big.

"I dream of winning the World Cup with Italy," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I don't forget my roots because they are important, but I was born and raised in Italy and it's always an honour for me to wear the Azzurra shirt."

Kean has already realised one dream this season by representing the Bianconeri at the highest level and he says he was surprised by how welcome he was made to feel by his Juve teammates.

"I feel very fortunate for this, it is the dream of any child," he said. "All the top stars in the dressing room welcomed me with open arms, it was amazing. I really expected far less from them."

Kean has been training regularly with Maximiliano Allegri's first team, although he has not featured since making his Serie A and Champions League debuts last year.

He has scored eight goals in nine outings for Juve's youth team, however, and was on the bench for the first team's 4-1 Serie A win over Palermo last Friday.
