Germany have made Watuniki, just outside of the Russian capital Moscow, their base for next year's World Cup in Russia.
The 2014 World Cup winners were one of many nations toying with the idea of making Sochi their World Cup base.
But on Friday they announced they will instead make base near the Russian capital, some 45 minutes away from the Luschniki Stadium, where they will play their first group match against Mexico on June 17.
"It wasn't an easy decision this time because we had a good time in Sochi at the Confed Cup," Germany head coach Joachim Low said in a statement released on the DFB's website.
"We need to create the ideal preconditions to be successful, and in Moscow we have perfect training conditions. We can train with focus, and can rejuvenate in the remote base."
The Watuniki Hotel Spa Complex is located in the woods to the southwest of Moscow, and is currently undergoing rebuilding measures.
Germany also announced the dates for their World Cup preparations.
The World Cup holders will go to Italy from May 23 through to June 8 and will play a friendly against Austria in Klagenfurt on June 2, with another game against as yet unannounced opponents in Germany on June 9.
