Transfer Talk: Liverpool plot Malcom move to strengthen Premier League title bid

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window. Transfer Talk has updates on all the latest rumours.

Reds join Malcom hunt

Liverpool are the latest club to emerge as suitors for Malcom, according to the Mail, with Jurgen Klopp keen to strengthen his attack this summer.

The 21-year-old Brazilian would cost in the region of £40 million and appears set to leave Bordeaux following interest in January.

Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal are also keen, but the Reds have Malcom near the top of their list of targets.

Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey and Christian Pulisic of Borussia Dortmund are also under consideration as Klopp aims to spend the £142m received in January from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.

Arsenal eye Zielinski

Arsenal will move for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski and could trigger his £57m release clause, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Poland international is also still of interest to Liverpool, having been pictured in their home shirt before joining the Partenopei from Udinese back in 2016.

Klopp is likely to target a second centre-midfielder this summer despite already securing Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, as Emre Can's future is uncertain with his contract set to expire.

But Corriere del Mezzogiorno claims Napoli are eager to negotiate a new contract for the Pole and remove the clause after the Gunners' interest surfaced. They may persuade him to stay at the San Paolo by finally installing him as one of the side's key players, with Maurizio Sarri alternating this season with Allan.

Everton line up £25m move Lascelles

Everton are preparing a £25m move for Newcastle centre-back Jamaal Lascelles.

The Toffees spent a similar fee on Michael Keane last summer, but the former Burnley star has failed to justify his price tag.

Sam Allardyce's job is far from secure, but the Mirror claims Lascelles, who has impressed under Rafa Benitez as the Magpies secured survival after promotion last year, is now a prime target.

Chelsea and Tottenham have also shown an interest in the 24-year-old, who signed a six-year contract last October.

Bayern ready to address Neuer backup

Bayern Munich will target Jasper Cillessen in a bid to safeguard themselves from further injury problems for Manuel Neuer.

Sport claims the Germans want to bring in the Dutch goalkeeper as cover after Sven Ulreich's disastrous mistake in the Champions League semifinal vs. Real Madrid proved costly.

Barca No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen has proven to be outstanding between the sticks for Ernesto Valverde's side, leading to Cillessen growing restless at his lack of opportunities since joining from Ajax -- with just 11 total appearances this season.

While the situation could be the same at the Allianz Arena, Neuer's fractured metatarsal has limited him to just four appearances this season, and that may present a longer run of games for Cillessen.

Tap-ins

- Stefan De Vrij has agreed to join Inter on a free transfer, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Dutch defender's contract is set to expire at Lazio this summer, and the Nerazzurri will pay him €4.2m per season over four years to move to the San Siro.

- Cardiff will target Rangers midfielder Josh Windass as their first signing back in the Premier League, reports the Mail.

The 24-year-old has hit 17 goals for the Gers and signed a three-year deal until 2021 only three months ago, but the Bluebirds and Burnley could pay £3m to bring him south of the border, claims the Record.
