West Ham concerned over Carroll; Arsenal wait on Aubameyang

The transfer window is heating up! Transfer Talk brings you live updates on all the latest rumours and done deals. Check out all the confirmed January moves so far on our transfers page.

Hammers fearful over Carroll

After reports that Chelsea want Andy Carroll on loan, West Ham are worried that their striker "has had his head turned," the Mirror says.

It reports that the Hammers have been offered a swap deal involving Michy Batshuayi, but manager David Moyes is keen to keep his key players at the London Stadium as he looks to build on fine recent form.

Carroll is now "understood to have his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge, where he would play Champions League football." Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace's Christian Benteke, though the Mirror says that Carroll "would be their preference."

LIVE BLOG:

23.00 GMT: Alright, that's enough excitement for one day. Check out ESPNFC.com a bit later to get Wednesday's edition of Transfer Talk delivered fresh for your enjoyment! Goodnight.

22.47 GMT: Last entry of the day could be good news for Arsenal?

Mirror Football reports that personal terms have been agreed with Borussia Dortmund and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which would clear the way for a January transfer. Of course, transfers aren't that simple but this would be a big hurdle cleared as Dortmund are reportedly looking to move on from the 29-year-old after his third club-enforced suspension in the past year: Aubameyang missed Sunday's 0-0 draw vs. Wolfsburg for "disciplinary reasons," having missed a team meeting.

Aubameyang is in superb form this season, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for the Black and Yellows but it might not be enough to keep him at the club.

22.33 GMT: Here's a fun one right before the end here... expect more on this in Wednesday's edition of Transfer Talk too.

Suddenly, a lot of teams are showing interest in Andy Carroll and West Ham are keen to capitalise in this window. Nice work if you can get it!

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea have approached about a permanent move for the former Newcastle and Liverpool target man so maybe this valuation will suit them as they chase another option for their inconsistent attack.

22.22 GMT: Sticking in the Italian capital, Swansea are reportedly leading the chase for Milan and Portugal striker Andre Silva, according to Wales Online.

The Premier League strugglers are in desperate need of goalscoring reinforcements if they're to remain in the top flight next season and Silva, 22, could be the ideal option as Carlos Carvalhal looks to bolster his squad ahead of the final months of the season.

Silva was reasonably prolific for Porto but has struggled to settle at the San Siro, not scoring in 12 appearances for his new club since joining for €38m last summer. Therefore, a change of scenery to South Wales could be just the trick and even though Wolverhampton Wanderers were previously considered favourites for his services -- Silva's agent is Jorge Mendes, who has placed many of his players at Wolves -- the Prem side are thought to be top of the queue.

Carvalhal has reportedly been linked to want-away Atletico Madrid pair Kevin Gameiro and Nicolas Gaitan in the past couple of days but has seemingly turned his attentions to the Portugal forward instead.

22.06 GMT: Inter Milan could use reinforcements and Mundo Deportivo believes they're close to securing a deal for out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Rafinha.

The 24-year-old hasn't played since April due to injury but that's not stopped Barca from playing hardball over a valuation: Inter's latest proposal of a loan to buy (with a €25m option) was rejected as the Spanish Primera Division leaders are holding firm on their valuation of €35-40m.

Rafinha was named in Barca's squad for their midweek Copa del Rey game, a sign of his fitness, but Inter are still hopeful of making a January move.

21.57 GMT: Liverpool fans aren't satisfied with beating Manchester City, oh no. They want to see the Philippe Coutinho windfall reinvested as soon as possible and the Liverpool Echo (via Sky Sports) reckons that they've made initial inquiries about former Red and current Milan playmaker Suso.

The 23-year-old from Spain has finally found his footing in Serie A after failing to crack the Liverpool first team from 2012-15 and spending seasons on loan at Almeria and Genoa but Tuttosport says the Italian side have told the Merseyside club to look elsewhere.

21.40 GMT: We've got a DONE DEAL in Ligue 1 as midfielder Vincent Koziello has completed a move to Cologne on a four-and-a-half-year deal, for a fee in the reported region of €3m.

Koziello, 22, has been capped by France U-21s but wanted a move to further his career and could make his Bundesliga debut against Hamburg this weekend.

21.21 GMT: Is Jack Rodwell on his way out at Sunderland?

The Sunderland Echo reports that the 26-year-old informed the club two weeks ago that he wanted a move away from the Stadium of Light but so far, nothing has materialised for the midfielder. At present, only Celtic have reportedly shown interest in him.

Rodwell's wages could be a sticking point for any club wishing to take him on: he's the only member of last season's relegated squad not to take a 40 percent pay cut following the drop, according to the Echo yet injuries have limited him to just three first-team appearances in 2017-18.

The same article also reports that Lamine Kone and Didier Ndong have asked for moves out of Sunderland this month.

21.07 GMT: Instead of watching FA Cup replays, why not try the latest edition of Transfer Rater?

Shaka Hislop and Ross Dyer look at the freshest batch of rumoured moves, including Jonny Evans (West Brom to Man City) and Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal to Chelsea. Watch here.

20.50 GMT: Everton's transfer business continues at speed following last week's signing of Cenk Tosun but they're facing competition for their next target.

The Liverpool Echo reports that they're tussling with Bournemouth and Lyon for the services of Lille forward Martin Terrier.

Terrier, 20, is currently on loan at Strasbourg but is looking for a permanent move and could be the ideal foil for Tosun up front at Goodison Park. The youngster has impressed enough to get five caps for the France U-21 side, scoring seven goals, but he won't be cheap: Lille's price is reportedly £13m for the prospect.

20.33 GMT: It's DONE DEAL time in Major League Soccer again as the LA Galaxy announce the signing of defender Emrah Klimenta, formerly of Sacramento Republic FC.

Klimenta, 26, had been with Sacramento since their debut season in 2014, making 92 appearance since and helping them to a USL PRO championship in their first season.

20.12 GMT: On to a DONE DEAL in the Championship as Derby County announce they've got their man...

The move of Norwich striker Cameron Jerome to the Rams has been confirmed on Tuesday. Jerome, 31, spent four seasons at Carrow Road where he scored 38 goals in 123 games but has found playing time hard to come by under new manager Daniel Farke.

Jerome could make his Derby debut this Friday, according to Sky Sports, and has signed a deal for one-and-a-half years at his new club. The reported transfer fee was £1.5m.

19.50 GMT: We don't yet know where Alexis Sanchez will end up this January transfer window but we can tell you one club he won't be playing for.

League One side Oldham Athletic took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm that they are NOT in the running for the Arsenal and Chile star. Sorry, Latics fans.

19.23 GMT: Time for a DONE DEAL in Major League Soccer next, as the Houston Dynamo have a new defender to show off.

Venezuelan defender Alejandro Fuenmayor joins the Texas club from Carabobo FC on a full transfer. The 20-year-old has plenty of first-team footballing experience since breaking into the Carabobo first-team back in 2013 at the age of 17. Said Dynamo head coach Wilmer Cabrera: "[Fuenmayor] is excited, and he knows the responsibility that comes with playing for the Houston Dynamo. We know he is ready for the challenge, and with our tools and our core group we can help him adapt very quickly."

18.58 GMT: Here's a DONE DEAL involving Leicester City...

Prospect Raul Uche is heading back to Spain on loan, where he'll link up with Real Betis until the end of the season. Uche, 20, joined the Foxes in the summer of 2016 from Rayo Vallecano but has yet to break through into the first team squad, spending the past two seasons in the club's development squad.

18.31 GMT: Will Dwight Gayle be on the move this month? The Chronicle suggests that the Newcastle forward is a top target for Championship side Fulham, though the Cottagers will need to make some sales in order to afford the 27-year-old's reported £15m price tag.

Exiting Craven Cottage to make room for Gayle could be top prospect Tom Cairney, who has been linked this month with a move to West Brom.

Gayle netted 23 goals in 2016-17 to help the Magpies win the Championship and get back into the Premier League.

18.11 GMT: At one point in the summer, Birmingham's Dutch midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld looked to be heading to Derby but the 27-year-old has just signed a contract extension to stay at St. Andrew's.

Kieftenbeld nearly left on deadline day in August but the paperwork wasn't submitted in time and he's since become a crucial figure. His new deal runs through June, 2020.

10.35 GMT: Norwich City midfielder James Maddison has turned a few heads with his performances and goals this season, and the London Evening Standard reports that Tottenham Hotspur are among the interested clubs.

It says Spurs "have been tracking the 21-year-old since before he joined the Canaries from Coventry in February 2016," but Norwich do not want to let him go. Manchester City, Liverpool and Leicester have also been credited with an interest.

10.20 GMT: A little more on Aubameyang: Dortmund head coach Peter Stoger has offered him an opening to return to the matchday squad when they travel to Hertha Berlin on Friday.

Gunners wait on Sanchez after Aubameyang talks

Arsenal have held negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over signing striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but are waiting for the future of Alexis Sanchez future to be settled before completing a deal, sources have told ESPN FC.

The Gunners are confident that a deal can be done with Dortmund after Gabon international Aubameyang was punished for skipping a team meeting over the weekend.

But Arsenal want Sanchez's situation clarified before launching a formal bid, especially as a deal with Manchester United for the Chile international could see Henrikh Mkhitaryan come the other way, sources said.

It comes after the Guardian reported that Arsenal "are increasingly confident" about signing Aubameyang.

However, it added that the Gunners might have to pay more than £50 million for the 28-year-old, with "negotiations over a fee ongoing."

In the meantime, Arsenal are closing in on Bordeaux forward Malcom, likely to cost around £40 million.

Chelsea make late bid to snatch Sanchez

Just when it seemed that Manchester City's withdrawal from the race to sign Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez had opened the way for United, along comes some potential late drama.

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea "are trying hijack United's bid to sign Sanchez in another dramatic twist to this extraordinary transfer saga."

It says United have offered Mkhitaryan to Arsenal as part of their bid to land Sanchez and -- for now -- remain in pole position to sign him.

Chelsea "are thought to be undeterred at this stage by the huge costs involved in trying to sign Sanchez," though there is not believed to have been any direct contact between the Blues and Arsenal yet.

The paper concludes that "it would take another dramatic turn of events for United to lose out on him," but that isn't impossible.

Tap-ins

-- Everton are favourites to sign Arsenal winger Theo Walcott in a £20 million deal and will stave off competition from his old club, Southampton, to do so, according to the Guardian.

It says talks between the Merseysiders and Walcott's representatives have moved forward, with the Goodison Park hierarchy undeterred by his transfer fee.

-- Hands up who had Paul Lambert in the Stoke manager sweepstakes? No? Well, Lambert has landed and will be given a transfer kitty to spend as he looks to steer the Potters away from danger.

The Mirror said the new manager "will meet the club's owners to discuss potential targets," though it warns that Stoke "will not break the bank."
