Transfer Rater: Vincent Janssen to Stoke City, Aaron Lennon to Newcastle

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Michal Pazdan to Newcastle United

A report in the Telegraph claims Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is hoping to bring in five new faces before the window closes. The report lists a left-back, centre-back and goalkeeper as areas he wants to improve upon with Legia Warsaw utility man Pazdan mentioned. The 29-year-old is able to play centre-back as well as defensive midfield and his experience would be a welcomed addition at St James' Park.

Vincent Janssen to Stoke City

Mark Hughes wants to bolster his attacking ranks this summer and is contemplating a move for Tottenham striker Janssen, according to the Daily Mail. The report claims Mauricio Pochettino is willing to cash in on the Dutch forward just 12 months after paying £17 million to bring him to England. However, Stoke aren't the only team interested in the former AZ Alkmaar star as West Brom are reportedly keen.

Aaron Lennon to Newcastle United

Reports have emerged to suggest Newcastle could shelve plans to bring Chelsea winger Kenedy to the club after Antonio Conte put the move on hold due to injuries at Stamford Bridge. Benitez wants to bolster his squad now and isn't prepared to wait. Reports in the UK have claimed Everton winger Lennon could arrive on a short-term deal with his playing time at Goodison Park now limited after Ronald Koeman's summer of spending.

Marvin Johnson to Hull City

Hull saw their £1m bid for Oxford United winger Johnson rejected last week with Oxford manager Pep Clotet claiming the player isn't for sale. Undeterred by this, however, Hull boss Leonid Slutsky is preparing to submit an increased offer for the 26-year-old as he looks to piece together the final parts of his Championship squad.

Nathael Julan to Crystal Palace

Frank de Boer is hoping to sign Le Havre forward Julan and the 6-foot-6 forward is seen as the perfect understudy to Christian Benteke. Although the Eagles are currently leading the race for his signature, there are Championship clubs in the hunt for him too. The 21-year-old striker is in fine form already this season, netting three goals in just 38 minutes of play. TF1 claim Palace have had scouts watching Julan since June and could make a move if interest from elsewhere intensifies.
