A lovely little story has emerged on social media that shows Adam Lallana to truly be one of football's nicest nice guys.
The Liverpool midfielder, who is currently out of action with a muscle injury, bumped into fan Ashwin Johri out in Cape Town and stopped to pose for a quick photo.
However, that wasn't the end of the story, not by a long chalk.
Indeed, Ashwin was fortunate enough to cross paths with Lallana again at a restaurant a few days later and this time the Reds star really went out of his way to make a lasting impression.
"After running into Adam Lallana earlier this week, I ran into him again at breakfast the following morning," Ashwin recounted on Instagram.
He then asked Lallana if he could buy him a beer later that day -- an offer which was duly accepted.
"I didn't expect him to come through, obviously. We exchanged numbers and he asked me to get in touch once I returned from my day out," Ashwin continued.
"Fast forward to the evening, and I'm waiting at our hotel bar and he does turn up. We had a drink each and spoke for a good half hour."
The youngster added that Lallana then agreed to meet up later that same night to meet Ashwin's friends and, to his surprise, once again the Liverpool star followed through.
The group chatted about football, travel, television shows and politics until late into the evening.
"Adam is a class act," Ashwin concluded.
"Not only is he very humble but also extremely attentive. By no means does he crave the spotlight and is happy to take the back seat and let others do the talking."
