In posing for a selfie at his local five-a-side centre, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou committed one of the worst acts of footballing heresy possible for a Tottenham player.
The young French winger was spotted wearing a Chelsea shirt in public, leading to a barrage of criticism from Spurs supporters on Twitter.
WTF is @gknkoudou wearing? pic.twitter.com/HqC3dMIAtS

One upset fan even called on Spurs to terminate N'Koudou's contract as a result of the shirt gaffe.
However, after catching wind of the social media storm, the 22-year-old was quick to defend himself, dismissing the story as "clickbait" before apologising for not realising the significance of the rivalry.
Lol @ clickbait ... I'm wearing the shirt my friend @mbatshuayi gave me... NO disrespect here just old friendship sorry for not knowing

N'Koudou then explained that the Chelsea shirt was a gift from his good friend, Blues striker Michy Batshuayi.
Which is fair enough really, though wearing it outside the house is -- as has been duly proved -- just asking for trouble.
