As you may or may not be aware, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was wrapped up over the weekend when Brazil secured their 14th overall title with a 6-0 drubbing of Tahiti in Sunday's final.
However, the highlight of the latter stages came in the third-place playoff between Iran and Italy, in which striker Mohammad Mokhtari lit up the match with a truly audacious overhead kick.
Having previously come close with the exact same set-piece, Mokhtari latched onto a long throw from his goalkeeper to power home an acrobatic shot from the tightest of angles.
Iran went on to secure an emphatic 5-3 victory and thus the bronze medal having reached the semifinal stages of the FIFA tournament for the first time in their history.
