Cristiano Ronaldo and his camp have been keen to sell us the idea that while on the pitch he has superstar powers, away from the game he is just a normal guy who is not over-obsessed with his personal image.
That narrative does not quite fit with a revelation from the communication director of Madrid's wax museum, who has suggested that Ronaldo takes a very close personal interest in the appearance of his likeness, which has been on show at the Spanish capital tourist attraction since December 2013.

"Cristiano told us to be sure his figure was perfect," Gonzalo Presa told Cadena Ser Catalunya.
"He sent his own hairstylist to brush his figure once a month. Cristiano's hair is natural. It is not a wig and it comes from India."
Never change, Cristiano.
