ESPN FC's worldwide editorial desks nominate their top performers from the weekend's action. Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse is this week's No. 1.

Why he's here: Kruse had his hand in each one of Werder Bremen's goals in Sunday's 4-0 thrashing of Hannover, scoring a hat trick and assisting on another.

2. Mauro Icardi | Internazionale

Why he's here: The Inter captain scored both his side's goals in a 2-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday.

3. Eden Hazard | Chelsea

Why he's here: Hazard registered a brace and showcased some exquisite interplay with Alvaro Morata as Chelsea dismantled West Brom 4-0 on Saturday.

4. Callum Wilson | Bournemouth

Why he's here: Wilson scored a hat trick in Saturday's 4-0 defeat of Huddersfield. It was the 25-year-old's third start of the season after missing eight months with a cruciate injury.

5. Mohamed Salah | Liverpool

Why he's here: Two goals in Saturday's 3-0 win over Southampton for Salah, who's been on the scoresheet in six straight matches, dating back to Oct. 14.

6. Luis Suarez | Barcelona

8. Edinson Cavani | Paris Saint-Germain

Why he's here: PSG laboured against Nantes on Saturday, but Cavani's brace helped lift Les Parisiens to a flattering 4-1 victory.

9. Shkodran Mustafi | Arsenal

Why he's here: Not only did Mustafi score the opener in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday, he also successfully silenced Harry Kane.

10. Arturo Vidal | Bayern Munich

Why he's here: After starting two of Bayern's past three matches from the bench, Vidal was in Jupp Heynckes' XI on Saturday, paying dividends with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win vs. Augsburg.
