After heated confrontations during the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive group stages and in the finals to determine the best teams, the ESL African Championship will start the relegation matches on Monday 31 July.
These matches are played by the bottom four teams from the groups stages against four new teams, harvested from the second round of Counter-Strike open qualifiers.
The matches-ups for the relegation matches are as follows:

The first match of the day will start at 7pm.
Following the ESL African Championship's tournament structure, the best four teams from the relegation matches will progress to the second season of the CSGO portion.
Here they will come face-to-face with the top four teams from the first season, starting on 7 August and culminate in September.
At the conclusion of the second group stages, the best two teams from South Africa and North Africa will compete against each other at the ESL African Championship Grand Finals.
