Colgate beats Bucknell 68-65 in Patriot League Tournament semifinal

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- — Braeden Smith had 21 points in Colgate's 68-65 victory over Bucknell on Sunday night in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals.

Smith added eight rebounds for the Raiders (24-9) and his two free throws with six seconds left sealed the win. Jalen Cox scored 15 points while going 5 of 11 from the floor, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and 2 for 4 from the line and added six rebounds and three steals. Jeff Woodward had nine points and shot 3 of 4 from the field and 3 of 8 from the free-throw line.

The Bison (14-19) were led in scoring by Noah Williamson, who finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jack Forrest added 16 points for Bucknell. Josh Bascoe also put up 12 points.

Keegan Records scored six points in the first half and Colgate went into halftime trailing 32-23. Smith scored 17 points in the second half to lead the comeback for the Raiders.
