MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- — David Jones scored 32 points as Memphis beat UAB 106-87 on Sunday night.

Jones added nine rebounds and three steals for the Tigers (22-8, 11-6 American Athletic Conference). Nae'Qwan Tomlin added 28 points while going 11 of 15 from the floor, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and 5 for 6 from the foul line, and they also had seven rebounds. Jahvon Quinerly had 25 points and shot 6 for 14 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 10 of 14 from the free-throw line.

The Blazers (18-11, 10-6) were led by Alejandro, who recorded 18 points. Eric Gaines added 17 points, eight assists and two steals for UAB. In addition, Efrem Johnson had 14 points.

Jones scored 24 points down the stretch in the second half to help lead Memphis to a 19-point victory.
