Potter's free throws lift Utah Valley past Tarleton State 63-60

STEPHENVILLE, Texas -- — Ethan Potter scored 22 points and his final two from the free-throw line lifted Utah Valley past Tarleton State 63-60 on Thursday night.

Potter also contributed 15 rebounds and three blocks for the Wolverines (15-15, 10-9 Western Athletic Conference). Drake Allen added 20 points while going 8 of 13 from the floor, including 0 for 3 from 3-point range, and 4 for 6 from the line while they also had eight rebounds. Caleb Stone-Carrawell shot 6 for 15, including 0 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points.

Devon Barnes led the Texans (22-8, 15-4) in scoring, finishing with 18 points. Jakorie Smith added 16 points and eight rebounds for Tarleton State. Lue Williams had eight points and seven rebounds. The Texans broke a 10-game winning streak with the loss.

Both teams next play Saturday. Utah Valley visits Abilene Christian and Tarleton State plays Seattle U at home.
