Old Dominion beats UAB 70-59

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- B.J. Stith and Ahmad Caver scored 21 points apiece as Old Dominion beat UAB 70-59 on Thursday night.

Dajour Dickens had 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Old Dominion (19-6, 9-3 Conference USA). Aaron Carver added nine rebounds.

Old Dominion headed to the locker room at halftime trailing 35-28, but the Monarchs were able to outscore the Blazers 42-24 in the second half to roll to the victory. The Blazers' 24 points in the second half marked a season low for the team.

The Monarchs trailed by five before taking control with a 15-2 run that made it 53-45 with 10 minutes to go.

Jalen Perry had 14 points and six rebounds for the Blazers (14-10, 6-5). Jeremiah Bell added 13 points. Zack Bryant had 11 points.
