Savannah St. uses parade of 3s to down FAMU 107-100

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Alante Fenner tied his career-high with 27 points and Zach Sellers scored 21 and Savannah State bombed away from 3-point range to beat Florida A&M 107-100 on Wednesday night for the Tigers' sixth straight win.

Savannah State (10-13, 7-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic) made nine 3-pointers in a 10-minute span for a 100-86 lead with 3:35 to play. Fenner hit three consecutive 3s for an 83-70 lead with 7:26 left. Sellers was 8-of-8 shooting from the field and made all three of his foul shots.

The Tigers entered the game leading the country in both 3s made and attempted shooting 267 of 898 (30 percent). Against the Rattlers they were 14 of 34 (41 percent) from distance. Javaris Jenkins scored 18 with 10 rebounds.

Savannah State led 44-36 at halftime before the Rattlers started the second half with 12-5 run and drew within a point. Florida A&M (4-20, 3-5) took a 57-56 lead with 11:35 left to play.

Desmond Williams led the Rattlers with a career-high 31 points and Nasir Core scored 20.
