Stark, Miller lead Murray State past Morehead State, 87-81

MURRAY, Ky. -- Jonathan Stark scored 23 points and dished six assists and Terrell Miller Jr. scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Murray State beat Morehead State for the 11th straight time, posting an 87-81 Ohio Valley Conference victory Thursday night.

The Racers unveiled a new scoreboard, then lit it up, shooting at a 54-percent clip (29 of 54).

A.J. Hicks got Morehead State even at 70-all with 5:19 remaining, but Stark hit two free throws and Miller scored on a layup to keep the Racers in the lead. Jordan Walker drilled a 3 with 1:28 left to get Morehead State within four, 81-77, and Londell King scored twice in the final 33 seconds, Stark was 6-for-6 from the line in the final minute to seal the win.

Stark finished 12-for-12 from the line for Murray State (15-5, 7-2). Ja Morant scored 17 and Shaq Buchanan added 14.

Hicks finished with 19 points and King added 18 for the Eagles (6-14, 2-7).
